My question is, why does the list have only cis-female/woman and cis-male/man? Why canāt one just be man or woman, without any other label added to it? Is it really necessary? Secondly, some of those labels are redundant- ie FTM = female to male, which means itās listed twice- in a row. There there is neither/agender/non-binary, which, to me, are all the same and are just a matter of which one the person chooses to be labelled. Trans woman and trans female are both the same too, so the list can be narrowed down greatly and actly those words are just numerous words to describe oneself or others, so there are not 58 genders, which is basically what you were saying to begin with, Lausten.
The list is guidelines for words to use in a place that sells words. They arenāt trying to change or dictate culture or do anything other than communicate clearly and respectfully. Mitch, or anyone trying to say itās more than that is trying to create conflict where there isnāt one
