Which method would be appropriate for execution of a US president convicted of treason and sentenced to death?
Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.
I’d like to see him sentenced to hard labor, something he is not familiar with at all.
Maybe he’d learn something about working for a living, but I wouldn’t count on it.
If he were actually convicted of treason he’d probably be “sentenced” to a country club “prison,” like most politicians and wealthy scam artists have been–that is the ones who don’t get off scot free. Judges don’t like to send their friends to prison. And when was the last wealthy man sentenced to the death penalty and put on death row?
Excellent points, Lois. The worst Trump might get would be a few years and a small fine. The problem is removing him from office would just prove to his Trumpanzees that the system is corrupt and was out to get their savior candidate all along.

Mike Pence is next in line. He may be worse than Trump.
Definitely. It's like Jimmy Carter mentioned during the election when it was Cruz vs Trump left standing. He said at least Trump is malleable whereas Cruz isn't. Of course Cruz took being unchangeable as a good thing. What a moron. But Pence would be the same as Cruz.

So should we all have to suffer to keep that from happeing? I think it would be well worth the risk.

But those people don't think rationally. Even Nixon's supporters eventually abandoned him. Trump supporters? Probably not. Some of them are crazy enough to raid a pizza joint because they believe Hillary Clinton was running a child sex ring. Trump just signed an executive order allowing mentally ill people to own and carry guns. He may not be a s clueless as we thought.
Looks like they might need to work this out as a Republican Representative in Congress is now calling for a special prosecutor to look into the ties between Donald Trump and the Russian attacks on the last US election which technically are an act of war against the United States of America.
America may see its first president executed for treason.
Rep. Darrell Issa, the California Republican who bedeviled the Obama administration with inquiries into Benghazi and the IRS, thinks the alleged ties between President Trump’s campaign and Russia are worth investigating — and wants a special prosecutor to do it.
This isn’t an issue of the justification for the death penalty, this about applying the appropriate measures to protect the nation. It’s becoming clearer that a power hostile to the US has placed in the White House it’s own agent.
Now we know that Jeff Sessions did not reveal having connections with the Russian government during last years campaign as well as Jared Kushner.
Donald Trump’s attorney general, Jeff Sessions, twice spoke with the Russian ambassador to the United States during the presidential campaign.
The Washington Post, citing justice department officials, first reported that Sessions met with the Russian ambassador, Sergey Kislyak, once in September 2016, when US intelligence officials were investigating Russian interference in the presidential election, and once in the summer of that year.
Donald Trump's son-in-law and his former security adviser met the Russian ambassador to “establish a line of communication", the White House has said.
Jared Kushner and Michael Flynn, who resigned last month after his contact with Sergey Kislyak was revealed, sat down with the official in Trump Tower in December.
The New Yorker reported the meeting earlier this week and it has now been confirmed by the White House.
There's also detailed information that the Russian government has compromising information of Donald Trump that make him a clear and present danger to the United States of America.
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2017/jan/10/fbi-chief-given-dossier-by-john-mccain-alleging-secret-trump-russia-contacts
Senator John McCain passed documents to the FBI director, James Comey, last month alleging secret contacts between the Trump campaign and Moscow and that Russian intelligence had personally compromising material on the president-elect himself.
Show some balls republicans, you have a fuking Russian sleeper in the White House, this is far worse than what Benedict Arnold did. Want to make America great again, impeach Trump and charge him with treason, let the courts decide if he should be executed or spend the rest of his life in prison.
Every day this traitor is in the Oval Office the US is in much greater jeopardy from an enemy that is rapidly rearming for a major conflict.

The new weapon—which will form the upper tier of Russia’s layered integrated air defense system—is expected to be able to engage targets at altitudes of about 125 miles—or 660,000 feet. That means that S-500 will be able to engage targets such as incoming ballistic missiles in space at ranges as great as 400 miles. The first regiment of S-500 will be deployed to protect Moscow and central Russia.
The S-500 is expected to able to detect and simultaneously attack up to ten ballistic missile warheads flying at speeds of twenty-three thousand feet per second. It is also reportedly being designed to use hit-to-kill interceptors—a design with similarities to Lockheed Martin's Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system.
A new Russian strategic anti-ballistic missile system can reach into space and shoot down incoming NATO missiles while Putin is rapidly developing a hyper-velocity MIRVed ICBM that can't be intercepted and one of which could take out the entire state of Texas.
http://www.popularmechanics.com/military/weapons/a23547/russias-new-icbm-could-wipe-out-texas/
Russia has begun testing of its new intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM), the RS-28 Sarmat. Sarmat can carry a payload of up to ten tons of nukes. The missile system is set to enter service in 2018.
The RS-28 Sarmat is the first entirely new Russian ICBM in decades. The heavyweight missile weighs 100 tons and can boost 10 tons. Russia claims the Sarmat can lift 10 heavyweight warheads, or 16 lighter ones, and Russian state media has described it as being able to wipe out an area the size of Texas or France.
The American Minuteman III ICBM, in contrast, weighs just 39 tons and carries three warheads.
Russia claims it needs missiles that can carry that many warheads in order to counter American missile defenses. The American Ground-Based Interceptor system doesn't intercept nuclear missiles themselves but rather the warheads on a ballistic trajectory towards their targets. By presenting American defenses with 10 to 16 incoming targets simultaneously, Sarmat makes the GBI system's job much more difficult. One hundred Sarmats means 1,000 to 1,600 targets.
If the republican lead Congress does nothing about this threat they should also be removed from power in 2018. Vote democrat, at least they haven't totally sold out the US to that creep Putin.
Looks like Comey was getting too close to evidence of Trump working with Russia…
Days before he was fired by U.S. President Donald Trump, FBI Director James Comey requested more resources to pursue his investigation into Russia's election meddling and the possible involvement of Trump associates, U.S. officials said Wednesday, fuelling concerns that Trump was trying to undermine a probe that could threaten his presidency.
Interesting bit on why Trump may have committed treason with the Russians.

The US may in fact see its first president facing the death penalty...
No, it would never happen. Politicians don't receive the death penalty nor do wealthy people. He or a family member would buy his way out of it one way or another.

This is clearly an extraordinary situation, as president if Trump is eventually found guilty of treason then I think anything is on the table.
His treason potentially put the lives of millions of Americans at risk and the nation itself. Russia has nuclear weapons aimed at the US and is building modern classes of strategic weapons that clearly puts it at the top of the list of threats to the nation. And there is good evidence that Trump is under the control of the Putin government.
What is trump’s next move, appointing an FBI Director that agrees not to investigate the very real possibility of Trump’s collusion with the Putin government to get elected and any possible demands the Russian government might be making of the Trump regime as payment and possibly blackmailing Trump with compromising material that more than one source indicates exists.
The USA is at a very dark and dangerous point in it’s history. If things play out wrong then the US may in fact be history. It’s impossible to overstate the danger here.
If Trump thought firing Comey would make his treason issue go away he was wrong.
There is now a special counsel to oversee the investigation into the possible links between the Russian interference in the 2016 US General Election and the Trump campaign.
US President Donald Trump has lashed out at the decision to appoint a special counsel to oversee the inquiry into Russian influence on his election.
"This is the single greatest witch hunt of a politician in American history," he tweeted on Thursday morning.
His reaction differed from Wednesday when he was quoted in a White House statement as saying: "I look forward to this matter concluding quickly."
Former FBI director Robert Mueller has been selected to lead the inquiry.
In naming Robert Mueller, the US deputy attorney general said it was in the public interest to pick an outsider.
No Donald it's not a witch hunt, it's a mole hunt.
Then hopefully it will be a wack-a-mole.
