Those who think in contrary opinions to our own serve us in helping to sharpen and hone our ideas by intellectually defending them. As Mriana said “In the end, I will vote for who I want” and by an extension of that logic also “think the way I want”. Words and ideas have been in this world for a long time and we shouldn’t be surprised to see them sometimes used with an ulterior motive and that clearly happened in the 2016 election.

In my opinion, the dotard is a Communist. So what? It’s just a political opinion and should be no skin off your back. Let’s go back to talking about the debate that was not a debate, but a show for the clown.

I said, “I don’t have to agree with you and you don’t have to agree with me.” In the end, we all vote the way we choose to vote and think what we want to think and do what we want to do. That’s not an ulterior motive. It’s the way people are.

@anton What’s wrong with being a Democratic Socialist, which is NOT Communism? IMHO it’s better than being a Communist, but I guess it all about the era we grew up in, which is a problem because it seem like the Repugs, full of baby boomers lean more towards Communism when it was the very thing they and the Greatest Generation were fighting against for decades after WWII?
That said, we really need to stick with the topic of the thread, which is about the debate and not about the dotard being a Commie or not.
