It doesn’t matter if you lose that bet or not. The experiment of destroying cities and killing children with “collateral damage” is not worth it. It can only lead to more terrorism, more people educated only in the language of violence.

Nobody cares that “soldiers” are killed. That’s what they signed up for.

No, we are in the same world. If you sign up for military service, you know the risks and when you give your life in service of your country that is a noble thing and is rewarded with respect and honor in memorium.
It is the civilians who have the misfortune to live in the war zone, who are directly exposed to the violence.
But like a butterfly creating a hurricane, war is a chaotic event.
War only stops when the penalty for aggression is greater than the potential gains.
The US used this concept to end Japan’s entry in WWII via Pearl Harbor, with our nuclear destruction of 2 major population centers in Japan.
