Yes and no. Democracy itself doesn’t really do anything, It’s the people who are participating that make it worthwhile or not.
Paying for democracy is one of the biggest problems we have right now. Yet we got to that point by following the same exact rules of democracy that everyone says are so important. We shouldn’t even be suprised that we’re in a deadlock.
The only realistic way to look at it is our government working exactly how it was designed to work. No laws were broken, nobody died and the only losers were some of the voters, who will get another chance.
