The Just Security web address looks like a propaganda source. I wouldn’t trust a word it says. Even so, if the Ukraine is winning against Putin, that’s a good thing, but I doubt the propaganda site is being honest about the U.S. contribution to helping the Ukraine.

You are taking a recent tactic, and period of time that is to short to claim it as valid data to prove your point. You say that has “changed nothing”. What you ignore is, everything changed over the span of the history of the war. Putin had no clue what he was up against. He believed he could bring peace by attacking a country and killing of it’s leadership. He thought that would be easy. That all changed.
The bear faced truth is russia is in a stronger position than anytime in this war as ukraines counter offensive is going nowhere and whose purpose was to claim a series of victories before the NATO summit so that zel can request even more weapons as justification of a future victory. This has not happened as futility is obvious. In fact biden has admitted that they have run out of ammunition. You need not be a putin supporter to read the writing on the wall
You pointed out how long this war has been going on, so “stronger” is relative. As in, doesn’t mean much.
Stronger position now than at the start of the conflict. Whether you like it or not when the eventual negotiations come, russia has the upper hand now to demand concessions
