Ukraine

Roots of this war:

-Russian imperialism

  • Russian denial of Ukraine legitimacy as an independent and autonomous nation
  • the fear that Ukraine could build a free prosperous and democratic nation, an anti-model for Putin.

You admitted that Putin was a totalitarian and imperialist dictator. How could Ukraine and Europe be the main culprits, even if they have made mistakes.

Heavy losses in land and men . On Friday, Oleksandr Shyrshyn, battalion commander of the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade, resigned from his position and said

“I have never received more stupid objectives than in the current direction,” Shyrshyn wrote in a Facebook post announcing his resignation. “Someday I will tell you the details, but the stupid loss of people, trembling in front of a stupid general, leads to nothing but failures.”

“I hope your children will also serve in the infantry and carry out your orders,” Shyrshyn wrote.

They are the only ones who have any power and who believe these root causes. Which is the same as saying they aren’t resolving them, they are imposing them by force.

Slowly but surely the West is now coming around to the reality that Russia is winning and has all the leverage to dictate terms.

Meeting with putin and trump today. Direct negotiations are to begin

Russia has upped the ante in ukraine on land and air with devastating effects on the Ukraine militarily .

Trump has now had 3 positions on the Ukraine/Russia war in his 4 months in office.

He has had 2 emissaries dealing with the Kremlin, both of whom have had radically

different approaches and stated objectives. He has a VP, Defence Secretary and

Secretary of State, all with divergent views.

Trump is like a weather vane … he just wants to be popular, has no awareness of

history or geopolitics or, most worrying of all, of Russia and its views and perspectives.

In short the USA’s stance on the entire sorry event is as changeable as the weather

with Trump in office !

Meanwhile Russia has been consistently detailing its objectives and demands since prior to

its invasion now more than 3 years ago. In recent weeks, as Kiev’s position deteriorates, it

has added some nuance to its demands HOWEVER its core demands remain.

The USA as a key belligerent in this war has become a joke under Trump … via him and his

advisors it is incapable of negotiating anything, especially given it has no idea what it wants !

No wonder the Russians are just proceeding with their military successes ! You can’t

negotiate with a party who does not have a consistent position !

Matter is : Are theses objectives legitimate, legally and morally ?

And, may be Trump change of views come from that he admitts that Putine’s objectives are illetimate, and that Putin does not really want peace, before Ukraine be destroyed as a sovereign and independant state.

Not that putin doesnt want peace , it peace on his terms fir the loser has no leverage.

How do you feel about the death of UK & French plan to deploy European NATO troops in Ukraine?

Are these terms legitimate ?

The reason of the strongest can be the weakest in terms of law, of morale and equity.

greenhammer uses the word “peace” like a fascist would, the kind of peace obtained by control and killing off the intellectual base of your enemies. He has never expressed much concern for who gets killed in the pursuit of reducing killing, who has freedoms restricted so roads can be built and an elite can live in luxury. The peace that the world has enjoyed since World War II has been in the reduction of the rate of soldiers dying. But is that peace? Children still die of hunger, mobility is still restricted for most while a few can get an airplane and go wherever they want, and, maybe the most important, people are free to exploit human and natural resources at the expense of future generations. They make the laws and claim the moral high ground to give themselves the appearance of acting peacefully when they are murdering on a massive scale.

Of morale and equality ??? Tell me why the west does not show the same moral and equality applied to what israel is doing as they do to Russia?

The West? What is the West? Is it the people getting locked up for protesting or the people locking them up? The people getting rich selling weapons?

The rules based order since WW2 thats given us so many illegal wars and the overthrow of so many noncompliant governments

  1. In a schoolyard, if a boy behaves as a bully, does it excuses the other boy who does the same?

  2. In a school yard, if a boy defends one of the bullied boy, and not the other one, does that justify the bully?

3)Israel is not Europe, and europe has been slow to condemn it, but now has strongly reacted, disapproving.

  1. Even if Putin has condemned Israel intervention in gaza, Isreale and Russia are allies, and cooperate.

And mot importantly, all this does not justifiy Putin policy, morally and legally.

Once more, you are evading a question, you cannot answer honnestly.

No need of AI, just the usual tactics.

For France , America et al, morals and equality are like a tap to be turned on and off when it suits their interests

Chiken !!! You don’t dare to defend Putin, or to admitt he is morally wrong !!!

Putin’s demands for peace include an end to NATO enlargement

According to reuters and 3 unnamed Russian sources. Of course

That, i do believe and it is legitimate.

If it was his only demand, peace would have been concluded months ago.

thanks for conceding me my point about some of his other demands.
