The very places that the t rump has goaded in to opening up, as if that would be good for the economy, when not opening up properly will only serve to set the economy back again.

The t rump is a truly disastrous failure in all respects of the crises that are simultaneously bringing America down. He does not have the wherewithal to deal with these crises, and in fact he has been making them worse.

He is corrupt beyond corruption. He cannot deal with the pandemic, period. He cannot deal effectively with the crisis of racial justice that we are currently facing. He is only going to make the economy fare worse, by not being able to deal with the pandemic. He has shown himself to be incapable of filling the office that he holds in a way that can make America great. Instead, he is turning it into one of those s___hole countries he complains about.

… All of these methods essentially bypass the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) National Healthcare Safety Network, which has long been the nation’s healthcare-associated infection tracking system. It is not perfect but has been by far the most comprehensive method of tracking infectious disease cases in health care facilities across the country. This network already has a Covid-19 module that includes a dash board where you can see such things as a snapshot of current hospital capacity estimates and the percentage of inpatient beds occupied by Covid-19 patients – Change in 14 Day Period.

So now HHS is telling hospitals to report data such as hospital inpatient bed occupancy, mechanical ventilators in use, number of suspected or confirmed Covid-19 cases, and N95 masks available directly to HHS. Or at least through their states to HHS. But not to CDC. …

The t rump admin wants to control the narrative. But the data about COVID-19 is the main data that matters these days. So they try to get a department that is already t rumpified to take over the control of the data.

It is more of the t rump’s tinpot dictator whims. But his only strategy is to try to control the narrative such that enough people believe his lies that he can win an electoral college victory, or close enough to contend over, so that he can use the system t cheat his way in.

I’ve seen a few comments that come from Republicans who retired from Congress, or from anonymous ones still in. They say that they had a choice, go with Trump or lose the next primary. I’m sure Trump has the ability to make a few phone calls or have some private conversations with his family, who then go out and have private conversations with the ones who can manipulate primaries, and they can pretty much hand pick candidates. We’ve only seen the tip of the iceberg when he chooses someone so horrible, it backfires, like Georgia. However, if he wins in November, those people who are facing that ethical dilemma will have a much harder choice. They will be choosing to turn the country into what is happening in Portland and on the Mexico border. RBG can’t hold out for 4 more years. They will be choosing the deaths of a half million Americans by Covid.

We are in a profoundly precarious position, NOW, with RBG. Can she last 6 more months? If not, the Repugliars will try to use the last of their Senatorial power to rush thru a replacement with another “conservative” Justice, before the t rump is out of office.

My prognosis would be 24 months max. The old girl is one heck of a fighter. The cancer which started in her colon in 1999 has gotten to her lungs (2018), pancreas and liver (2019). America likes a fighter whether it's Ruth or The Donald. My money is on the incumbent cowboy in the White House giving us another four years of Trump Country. Here is to two more conservative Chief Justices in the Supreme Court. Cheers!
