I am free to ask questions and you cant be more engaging then asking a question of what was previously said and you cant be more disengaging then telling someone go away and do your own research
Question; Was killing Bin Laden a terrorist act?
On April 14, 1986, the United States launches air strikes against Libya in retaliation for the Libyan sponsorship of terrorism against American troops and citizens.

I see people killing innocents as terrorists and people killing terrorists as law enforcers.
This new paradigm of the meaning of terrorism is clearly demonstrated in the current Russia-Ukraine conflict.
Russia is engaged in a war of terrorism , but when Ukraine retaliates there are some people who say that Ukraine is engaging in terrorist acts.
That kind of tortured logic does not fly in my book. Terrorism is designed to terrorize , .
Engaging in just retaliatory action against terrorists is not terrorism. Itâs justice.
In all military conflicts , the US tries to minimize civilian casualties, sometimes aborting entire missions for that very reason. There are mistakes âŚ
Those words are fine, if we agree on their meaning. I say thatâs possible. To the British, G Washington was a terrorist
I see this as hairsplitting over easily understood terms.

Are you saying there is no red/blue divide in this country?
Iâm saying my use of âweâ in this context is easily understood as âAmericaâ by 99% of people.
And Iâm saying itâs not. Iâm saying a good third of people in this country feel that they have some idea of what America is and think everyone else is wrong. They say things like, âThose people are destroying America.â
My aunt said that George Soros is meddling in the affairs of other countries and those countries should be supported in keeping them out of their affairs. I can tell you where and what Soros was doing. My aunt did not know, she assumed, from the propaganda she was reading, that he was pushing socialism on somebody.

Iâm saying my use of âweâ in this context is easily understood as âAmericaâ by 99% of people.
Youâre statement is about as true as the U.S. being âAmericaâ. Itâs the United States of America, not âAmericaâ. America is all the continents on the Western half of the earth, also called North America, Central America, and South America. Now you can argue that the U.S. is America, but itâs only because in on the North American continent. Itâs also called âThe Statesâ. About the only people who call the U.S. âAmericaâ are those who donât understand these things. Yes, Iâm a U.S. citizen born and raised, but the U.S. isnât âAmericaâ, despite what some may insist upon.
Now, you may try to split hairs on that paragraph, but calling the U.S. âAmericaâ is about as true as your statement above. The only âWeâ concerning the U.S. is in the U.S. Constitution, which says, âWe, the peopleâŚâ

They say things like, âThose people are destroying America.â
Arenât the dotardâs followers and cronies attempting to destroy democracy and the U.S. in order to put in an oligarchy or a dictator? They are small in numbers, but somehow they manage to get their dotard into office once. There wonât be a U.S. as we know it if he gets in again or if any Repug, who wants to perpetuate his destruction, gets into office.
Anyway, with both posts, Iâm making your point very well, Lausten.

Arenât the dotardâs followers and cronies attempting to destroy democracy and the U.S. in order to put in an oligarchy or a dictator?
I think they are destroying democracy, whether they know it, or are inwittingly following, or not.
But, the 1/3 i referred includes all ideologies. Iâm not sure how it breaks down on who is right or wrong. I can only predict. History will judge
There is definitely one trend of de-civilization and that is legitimization of crime by the Republicans.
While they cry âweaponizationâ of civil institutions they are indiscriminately weaponizing civilians.
The persistent Republican support of Trump in spite of the clear evidence of his treasonous actions is just another symptom of a very disturbing trend.
When there are weapons of war there will be death and this is becoming painfully clear,
These are some notes I took from a book Martin Shawâs âSnowy Towersâ. I think we keep doing this, having our âenlightenedâ view of the world, but not thinking about the unfinished work of that time. We come as saviours, then act as conquerors. Capitalism has institutionalized this, made it legal and honorable. We even do it at home, as we are seeing in the marijuana industry. As soon as the laws changed to distribute and grow it legally, many of those growers started using immigrant labor in slave-like conditions.

1 is germs, ala Jared Diamond. Smallpox devastated the Americas.
In the a different direction, Africa sent yellow fever, to the Americas, and Europeans appeared as miracle workers, with compasses, math, glass, and fire sticks. But our logic? As long as they obeyed us, they were called ânaturalsâ, when they didnât, âsavagesâ. Slavery, an ancient practice, aligned with commerce. âLater, we confused the indigenous mind still more by introduction the genius of Shakespeare and Plato, the values therein utterly at loggerheads with the reality they witnessed us acting outâ.
The second was writing, used as a way to yoke the oral tradition, storytelling, with an expe ctation that those traditions will continue to progress to the Western mind.
The third is fundamentalism over emotional literacy. In Parzival, itâs the wound of the king, and his relief that only comes from taking the sacrament.
