Sharia Law has come to the US

reminds me of the definition of insanity

This is trolling, just to get people heated up.

Listing a bunch of headlines is too. You can agree with opinions on the news, but the idea here is to express your unique thoughts.

The 14th amendment codified our rights to liberty. It doesn’t get much more powerful.

click the headline and you see a bunch of examples of how the word abortion is deliberately avoided

Overuse of deleting is a rule violation. You’re racking them up.

Sure why not.
Princeplanet does have a point, but getting pissed off isn’t going to help him.

He’ right that the Democrats suck. They keep sending out donation pitches, and surveys, that are simply cover letters for more donation pitches. Boilerplate garbage stuff that’s doing more to turn off than to engage.

They need to be messaging, they need to educating people and striving to get them to get engaged and organize and do something, etc., etc.

Not discussing the next steps, not discussing a plan of action, not even defining the issue and a backstory, not engaging.

This, during a year that should have every Democracy loving American energized and looking for how they can best participate in the coming election, it’s frightening.

After all, more than anything this election will be about the future of open and fair elections in the USA. Beyond that, it’s going to be a national referendum between the importance of honesty and truth in America’s public dialogue vs. a descent into anger driven anarchy. No exaggeration, simply pay attention to how the Republican Party has been engaging in every imaginable dirty trick to stymie future election participation and voting legitimacy.

Successful politicians require strong, informed, proactive support at their backs if they are to lead, yet the DNC seems to be doing little to nurture that sort of buy-in from their grassroots. Why?

The DNC’s disregard towards rank and file concerns is reflected in the constant bombardment of DNC’s boilerplate donation pitches, as though donating money was all We The People are good for. I understand the need to fundraise, but what about making us feel like active participants through straight talk, informing us of challenges, calling for feedback, being responsive, nurturing engagement.

The DNC should earn its money by informing and engaging constituents in a way that makes sense to us and connects with our lives. Creating relevance, encourages enthusiasm, produces participation.

Why not use the internet? Why not create a quality internet platform for having constructive political dialogue? By Democrats for Democrats!

The Democratic Party Online Discussion Forum.

All I saw was the news.

What’s the plan?

Instead of packing the court we should get justice and impeaching the illegitimate lying Christian-fascists off the Supreme Court.
Though I do respect Elizabeth Warren.

So where’s the plan pp?

Why you asking this after you read the comment about using federal land?

I didn’t say you were, I said Princeplanet needs to get a handle on his anger.

But the Repugs have messaging while Democrats have thumbs up their keisters for the most part - even if we represent a bit of rationality to the unhinged Repugs.
Still, they continue steam rolling honesty, democracy and regular citizens.

Don’t even get me going on Obama, he was a failure in too many ways that he didn’t need to be.
What happen to the grand political machine he put together to get him elected, when it came 2016 it rolled over and allowed a insane thug like trump to get elected. Sorry wonderful man, much hope, but no following through, because he became too in love with his idol status and took his eye off the ball.

I gave you my mind with this suggestion. The thought of individuals organising around such ideas is how things get changed. The suggestion of the young activist for the November election is no good with you?

I’m not. I’m just staying he can’t blame President Obama for it, because no president can codify anything and if any congress people were going to do it, they should have done 50 years ago. So it everyone in congress that should get the blame. and I do mean everyone.

Don’t fool yourself. The Repugs do it too.

Did you miss the Obama campaign? Well, I guess if you didn’t work it, you missed the engagement and the organization. They also had a lot of messages- health care was one of them.

We arent talking about them. The Dems promote themselves as the progressive party of ordinary people.

No but we can blame Obama for spending his last year busy taking his Victory Lap instead of keeping his eyes on the ball and rebuilding his organization to continue inspiring people to get engaged in politics and teaching them how to confront the dishonest garbage we’ve been allowing the radical right and Christianfascists to get away with - and to win the freak’n next election.

Yeah and the Republican messaging is driving home to their constituents - even though it’s built on lies and deception and delusional unhinged thinking.

Yet the Democrats have done nothing to help Democratic voters see through the Republican smoke screen, let alone confront it, let alone have the balls to try and change minds.

Mriana, I was an Obama delegate to the Colorado Democratic State Convention, twice!
I even participated in Obama’s online OrganizeForAmerica (or whatever it was called) course for supposedly building an organization. It was pathetic white bread stuff. Pretending we were living in the civil 50s, when no one had to think about any thing and just let the politicians run the show. {even got a stupid worthless “diploma” in some lost file somewhere - like getting a prize in sugar smacks :pouting_cat: }

I was invited to share my ideas and was totally ghosted when I produced. Yet here we are with our thumbs up our butts. Democrats too stupid to recruit good talent, unless that talent was a presentable as an IBM salesman.

I have been trying to crack that Democratic shell a long time, I can appreciate pp complaints better than he can.

Diary, “INDIVISIBLE” webinar & networking. All hands on deck, they say. What do I have to offer?

And it’s not that my words haven’t been able to exert a little influence on some events, that coming from an off-the-record conversation with a sympathetic RGNF official of note.

Yet, I’m ignored no matter how honorable or constructively an assault upon the DNC brain-trust citadel I engage in. Whether in the convention hall or via ZOOM and internet.

As if this wasn’t all hands on deck situation. How the fuk do you win a battle by ignoring all your resources and that’s exactly what the Democratic Party has been doing for decades.

Then we got Princeplanet prancing in, talking about doing something - WTF more can an individual do, where are the others’- the organization - the momentum - the awareness?

PP you talk a lot but what’s the f’n plan where do people sign up and connect with any one who’s got a grip on what’s happening?

Just say’n

For that matter who’s got a grip on the situation?

The reality has gotten too horrendous for many, so that denial has become a mental health survival strategy. Works great, until it’s your community’s time to get hammered by the next “we could have never imagined this happening” catastrophe that the few have been warning about for many decades.

Too much. Too fast. So now, what’s the plan PP ?

There’s got to be one because there will be survivors, there will be places where the new normal (which is going to be an increasingly intense global heat and moisture distribution engine, (with all its cascading consequences that will increasingly disrupt every imaginable aspect of your life.) will be survivable, for the few who are brave enough and wise enough to establish a whole new kind of relationship with this natural world (physical reality you could say), one built on understanding and respect for our Earth and an appreciation beyond our current ability.

Fortunately, survivors are amazingly good at forgetting the past and dealing with today, and hoping for tomorrow.

Not bad at all

Morgan,
Wow, that one is a monstrosity.
The truth in it is what make it so utterly horrendous.

Only thing missing was the wealthy pedophilic bishops, cardinals, pope and lawyers of the Catholic Church arm in arm with American Christianfascists and their mass media brainwashing machine. Would make a splendid gold fringe around the flag.

Bidens action plan - do nothing. AOC running rings around him

Why do you blame Biden for doing nothing but apparently approve of the people that are actively ruining this country.

Very strange , the benign person (Biden) is to blame for the bad guys that just killed a few and injured many in an attempt to destroy democracy and install a theocratic autocracy, headed by Trump, who is clearly a Faustian agent of the Devil.

As an objective Atheist, that last sentence was intended for our religious friends to beware this criminal con-man. Just read Trump’s biography. His mentor was that infamous lawyer Roy Cohn who was the Devil’s advocate.

The Final Lesson Donald Trump Never Learned From Roy Cohn

The Jan 6th commission is beginning to uncover the seditious plot that started a long time ago.

Biden - more radical action would be too politically divisive. Did you vote for him to say this, unwilling to fight and letting the Regugs do whatever they want? AOC just outpresidented the president
