Rethinking Trump

If we fined every employer who hires an illegal alien, the amount that is necessary to discover and prosecute those criminal employers, it would cost taxpayers nothing. And there would be no need to spend tens of billions of dollars building a comical wall, and finding and trying and deporting 12 million illegal aliens.

Ya think? I think that I am stating what should be obvious, but clearly is not obvious to an overwhelming number of our citizens.
Since we're making predictions. I predict, win or lose, finish the race or not, we will see a third party out of this. Trump or some part of his following will start it, or the remaining sane Republicans will.
A serious 3rd party run, makes no sense, because it is all but impossible in the current system for a 3rd party candidate to become President. Perhaps this year, yes. I think this party will be formed next year. Maybe it will be a joke, but it could draw half of the funding and staff from the current Republican party, which is already essentially split.

Ya think? I think that I am stating what should be obvious, but clearly is not obvious to an overwhelming number of our citizens. Not Trumpet supporters, anyway. Trumpet is going to save them! He's going to create high paying jobs, give the people money to get out of debt. Make the world afraid of us, build a wall. He'll do what Obama wouldn't do. He'll show 'em who's boss! It will be paradise. He's a savior!

I don’t think you have to rethink Trump. I think you have to step back and look at the puzzle. Trump is not the issue. What we have here is a caste system voting. Over the decades our capitalist system has become more and more socialistic. And we have the establishment caste, the government working caste, and the government welfare and schooling castes to name a few. The rest of the people are in the working caste. The capitalist system has been over regulated and is not working for the American Dream. Replace Trump with Mickey Mouse and you keep Trump’s thinking, and you would have the same results. That’s why they have not yet been able to answer the reason behind the Hispanic votes in Nevada for Trump. Trump say it’s because they love him. Are you buying that? The facts are the caste system can override the races.
The Hispanic votes in Nevada are not so hard to figure out if you consider that every one of them thinks that when the wall is built that they will be comfortably ensconced on this side of it. They, too, want to keep Mexicans from coming here and taking their jobs, Lois You got that right. They see their jobs being taken over by Mexicans that have not yet been Americanized. Employers want Mexican workers that have not been Americanized. It takes one to six years of working in the States to become Americanized. And to get anything approaching a decent wage. The employers still want people willing to work for peanuts and they have no compunctions against firing the higher wage workers and replacing them with the lower wage ones. That's exactly what happened when the present set of Mexican workers came on the scene and the workers who were receiving higher pay were pushed out. I understand that is the perception of the Mexican workers by most Americans. But I worked with Mexicans in the dairy industry. The starting wage was $12.00 per hour, plus room and board. They also made as much in overtime wages as regular wages. Taxes were withheld. We could not get Americans to work on the dairies. With over three thousand workers I got a good education on the Mexican work force. We would lose workers all the time to the construction industry where they were being paid over twenty dollars an hour. I understand that there are business and people that do take advantage of the workers. But it is hard to do and a big risk because without a doubt the Mexican workers know more about the American labor laws than Americans do on a whole. There is a vast legal force that feeds off employers that take advantage of Mexican workers. The Mexican workers listens to the radio stations and the biggest advertisers are the lawyers. They make it sound like suing the employers are like winning the lottery and you will win every time.

Tim, that’s has always been the case. Without the employers, we would not have much of an immigration problem. It is very, very simple to solve. And the government knows this. But if the government forced the employers to stop using the illegals. Then our dairy products would come from Argentina. Our vegetables from Mexico. And retiring American’s would be moving to other countries for retirement. There is no way the mass majority could afford to retire and live in the United States. Don’t worry about the wall. I don’t think that will ever happen. The only wall will be an electronic wall which can be operated rather cheaply. They are doing that now with sensors at many populated areas along the boarder. Look at history. Germany became a one of the most wealthiest countries in the world. It was cheaper to import food that to grow food in Germany. Then the war came along and food was one of Germany's Achilles heels.

And that is why another very simple solution, in addition to stopping the criminal behavior of employers (of hiring undocumented aliens) is to document the aliens that are needed. If they are saving our economy in the ways that you describe, don't they deserve to be documented, i.e., legal? OH NO! (some will say) THAT IS AMNESTY! THEY COMMITTED A CRIME COMING HERE! WHY SHOULD THEIR CRIME BE REWARDED? To which I would say, they are only the pawns in the larger crime, that is being conducted by those who make real money from using them. WHY SHOULD CRIMINAL EMPLOYERS BE REWARDED BY GETTING TO CONTINUE UNDULY PROFITING by exploiting the immigrant workers lack of documentation? Because none of us want a little inflation? If that is the case, then we should all just shut up about the "immigration problem" because, as you describe it, it is not really a problem, it is an economical asset. Oh but, then, how would idiot politicians come to power by exploiting the fears and xenophobia of their constituents, and offering ridiculous, useless "solutions"?
But enough about the conspiracy side. Let me make a prediction, based on my #1 being correct (Trump as scumbag foil). I predict Trump will drop out by his own choosing. He'll come up with some reason like "I'm through with this bunch of idiot losers". That'll leave Rubio and Cruz looking real good, with their bigotry, theocracy, and hate nicely covered up by Trump.
Trumpet's hyperinflated ego wouldn't allow him to drop put. He'd have to be forced out. Lois

Everyone seems to think the only way Illegal aliens are getting into the country is by sneaking over the Mexican border. There are plenty of other ways, such as overstaying visas and sneaking in through Canada or by boat.
People will find a way to migrate, no matter what anyone does to stop it. Some will die in the process but many will succeed. It’s like water running downhill. It’s inevitable. People will move to where the resources are, just as our ancestors did. It’s a matter of survival. They will do it legally or illegally, whatever it takes. The only chance anyone has to slow it down, even a little, is to figure out a way to let them in to take all those jobs “Americans won’t take” and keep track of them, which is an almost impossible task, itself. Migration will never stop and it will hardly ever be slowed down. We might as well accept it and stop expecting the impossible.

Tim, I disagree that most american born employers are criminal. You and I know the employer is hiring the illegal employee. But follow the laws. A persons legal status in not up to some landscape employer. He has no idea. OK, maybe 5% of the employers do know, but they are taking one hell of a chance. It is the job of the government departments to establish a person’s status, not the employer’s. If an employer refuses to hire someone based on the presuming the person is illegal, the employer will get the hell sued out of him. I have never seen that done by any employer. Most employee laws states “employee". The laws do not say legal or illegal employee. Once the employee fills out the government required paperwork the employer is not liable for the employee status. And the paperwork has to be filled out to do taxes. Believe it or not. The government has built an excellent work VISA program. But the government overloaded the program with too many departments, forms and regulations to the point that it no longer works for most trades. The government has the ability to fix the problem by using its power correctly thru the employers. But, I agree it is very political. The criminal actions that are taken place by employers are from employers who come from other countries and don’t speak the language here. Mainly in the bigger cities. The government fines it is hard to deal with people who claim they don’t understand English or Spanish. Because these employers get away with not pay taxes and taking advantage of the workers. It creates an uneven business environment for the honest business owner in the big cities.

You got that right. The ones that know what they are doing just fly into the United States. They use someone else’s name. How do we know the difference? A big part of Mexico is still using the pencil and paper system. They are not going to walk to America. A wall would only stop a small percentage of the people.

Employers pay off politicians, cops, border patrol and government workers. The bigger the industry, the bigger the pay-offs. I predict that the United States will never even get a handle on the illegal alien “problem”. There is far too much corruption at every level for anything effective to happen in that arena. Money talks.

Regardless of who the criminal employers are, and the competing legalities, and bureaucratic difficulties, this is where the most salient nexus lies, if the "problems" of immigration are actually worth solving.

Regardless of who the criminal employers are, and the competing legalities, and bureaucratic difficulties, this is where the most salient nexus lies, if the "problems" of immigration are actually worth solving. Europe solved the problem decades ago. They had to, because too many people were working in many countries across Europe. That entailed using employee leasing companies with the skills and knowledge to handle the complicated employer and employee taxes and laws of many countries. We do the same thing here, but it is at a much smaller level and much more complicated. That is because we only have agreements or treaties that cover the laws for this with thirteen other countries in the world. Again our government has not been doing its job. I sent some workers over to Japan after a big earthquake. And I tried to follow all the laws, but found it would be impossible because of the lack of laws. The State Department ended up telling me not to worry about the laws. If a problem came up, they would help me deal with the problem. What I am afraid is happening here with this immigration movement Tim is that America is feeling the people’s movement of a caste system. This is standard in other countries like Pakistan and that area of the world. I’ve run into it a lot in dealing with unions here, but not at the point that most people would notice or understand.

So Europe “solved” the problem decades ago amd the present migrant problem overwhelming westenr Europe is a figment of someone’s imagination. Right? All those refugee camps are really summer camps full of fun and games. Right?

Yes, I will stick with my view. What is going on in Europe is that Merkel invited a million people to come to Europe. So they came by invitation. The refugee camps started popping up after Merkel’s invitation. Sort of like what Obama did with the Central American children. Merkel’s thinking was that the EU is 500M people and to bring in 3 to 5 million more would only be a 6 to 10% increase in population. What Merkel didn’t ask, was the 500M people in the EU happy the economy in Europe and did they want more people from other countries. The refugees understood Merkel as saying Germany would be able to take a million more people a year. You could go to Germany, receive money, housing, food and medical care. And your children could get a free education. Not a bad deal, if you are in a country that is poor or at war. I see nothing in the news about labor complaining that the refugees are working for less or taking away jobs. Why would they?
The conspiracy theorist in me sees two things about Trump that I haven't heard discussed. 1) He's merely a foil for other conservatives and/or 2) He's merely the chump chosen to chase Dems to the Real establishment's preferred candidtate, Hillary Clinton. 1) His being nasty allows guys like Cruz, Rubio, and Paul Ryan to denounce his hate and bigotry. And that has the effect of covering up their own hate and bigotry. 2) He's so bad that Dems will be driven to "keep the nutjob out" and vote for HC, who like Obama is a Republican in Dem clothing. Same happened with McCain/Palin. And to make the gimmmick seem real every Repub is reacting against Trump so as not to be seen as part of the plot.
Nobody could make up a Trump. Especially not a Republican. And the rest is far too complicated for Republicans to think up. They obviously aren't that smart. I predict that Trump and his candidacy will crash and burn before the election in November. I could be wrong, of course. Republicans along with some others may be even more stupid than I think, and wind up electing him. Then it will be the whole country that crashes and burns. I would prefer not to be a witness to it, but I don't know how to avoid it. The whole world will fall into chaos, not just the US. LoisActually they ARE that smart. If I were to say the Repubs had a meeting to plan out strategy for basically blocking everything about Obama, and to make it a Repub-wide effort, including governors, you'd say that was conspiracy. And yet it's the truth. Repubs are pack animals. And they take direction as told, for example by the Chamber of Commerce, ALEC, PNAC, and others. I've seen cases where a senator i think it was literally used the Word template provided him by Alec for legislation, didn't even remove the watermark I think it was. They DO work in concert and on a large scale. In this sense Hillary was correct when she called out the vast ring wing conspiracy against her husband. Yeah, but we know they did that. It's talked about all the time. Worst secret conspiracy group every. It's talked about Now because they were found out and it made the news.
