Non US citizens use less welfare

I didn’t want add this to an existing thread. It comes up now and again but I couldn’t find a study before. This isn’t the only study. Have at it

https://www.cato.org/blog/immigrants-used-less-welfare-native-born-americans-2022

Shame on the migrants who don’t behave as Trump and Maga claim they do !!!

And, factly, if facts don’t match the ideology, let us live in an alternate reality.

:+1:
We’re not the Hollywood Nation for nothing.

The link says illegals used less welfare in 2022 than US citizens.

That doesn’t change the fact that Illegal immigration is a big problem and this administration is doing the right thing in trying to limit it.

I hear that a lot, just don’t hear what the problem is. They take our jobs and are lazy and on welfare. I can’t figure it out

How many times has this been discussed over the years?

Illegals drive down pay for unskilled labor, increase social distrust, and make a mockery of the legal system.

You are right.

Is it a reason to treat them so inhumanly ? Why do people migrate ?

And there are internatinal laws protrecting some of them, for instance the refuggees

Other point : US econimy needs them !!!

Final point : Meloni, the ultra right prime minister of Italy has deliverred 500 000 visas to illegal immigrants and will deliver 500 000 other ones for the next 3 years.

Why, because theses people are working in Italy, because the business asked these mesures to stabilze there working force.

And which were the results : more income for state, less crime.

You didnt address the driving down of wages point. Do you accept this as fact and the primary motivation for right wing governments such as meloni ?

In Europe, once the illegal migrants get their papers, they are paid the legal wages.

Who sets wages? Who hires the workers? Who manages their working conditions? The H2A visa is used by them. It makes it easier to track who they are, take their papers from them, and even threaten their families back Mexico. US based cartels like this lead to people preferring to risk being undocumented and accept lower wages and no protections like workers comp, because it’s better than being enslaved.

The capitalists with the labor theory of value and the political economy

Correct. The capitalist set wages. They would want wages to be low, of course. Henry Ford saw some value in raising them, and some business owners still do, but that’s a competing theory. I’m guessing the theory you are talking about is more like supply and demand, i.e., more workers competing means lower wages. Right?

What is inhuman about searching for them and sending them back?

Is it human to separate Husband and wife, and children, especially when the deportee has been in USA for years, and has no criminal record, especially if he was legally in USA, before you deprived him from his card, and despite a court order ?

One exemple

Is it human to send him in a country where he does not know any one and is due to die, or to be detained in hell ?

Is it human to arrest people in doves, not distinguishing the regular and the irregulars ?

Is it humane to arrest people en masse, without distinguishing between regular and irregular persons, and to interne children?

They also commit less crime. Although on this one, knowing the truth is much more difficult since so much crime is unsolved and unreported

Yes, it is humane. After all, we could just kill them and be done with it.

If we are going to enforce the law the right way we can’t let the lawbreakers who are married or who feel more comfortable in this country go unpunished.

  1. the first matter is that the law is not enforced rightly for many reasons

ICE and freedoms

American citizens illegally arrested

  1. and about the second one, are you sure, you are not a fascist ?

Some mistakes will inevitably be made. A big reason for that is there was so much illegal immigration for so long that the job is now much more complicated. Too bad, it still has to be done.

And I am a fascist.

What is it that you like about it?

What do you mean by that?
