Putin and Trump - bromance and DNC Wikileaks - what's happening here?

It get’s weirder and more pathetic all the time.
But you know, gotta hand it to Bernie Sanders smart guy, a good man, he does understand the system and he’s no demagogue.
I’m more impressed with him all the time.

As Democrats Gather, a Russian Subplot Raises Intrigue By David Sanger and Nicole Perlroth \ July 24, 2016 http://www.nytimes.com/2016/07/25/us/politics/donald-trump-russia-emails.html “WASHINGTON — An unusual question is capturing the attention of cyberspecialists, Russia experts and Democratic Party leaders in Philadelphia: Is Vladimir V. Putin trying to meddle in the American presidential election? Until Friday, that charge, with its eerie suggestion of a Kremlin conspiracy to aid Donald J. Trump, has been only whispered. But the release on Friday of some 20,000 stolen emails from the Democratic National Committee’s computer servers, many of them embarrassing to Democratic leaders, has intensified discussion of the role of Russian intelligence agencies in disrupting the 2016 campaign. …" “Proving the source of a cyberattack is notoriously difficult. But researchers have concluded that the national committee was breached by two Russian intelligence agencies, which were the same attackers behind previous Russian cyberoperations at the White House, the State Department and the Joint Chiefs of Staff last year. And metadata from the released emails suggests that the documents passed through Russian computers. Though a hacker claimed responsibility for giving the emails to WikiLeaks, the same agencies are the prime suspects. Whether the thefts were ordered by Mr. Putin, or just carried out by apparatchiks who thought they might please him, is anyone’s guess. …"

Why Experts Are Sure Russia Hacked the DNC Emails By Josh Meyer | July 25, 2016 http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/why-experts-think-russia-hacked-dnc-emails-n616486 Many U.S. officials and cyber security experts in and out of government are convinced that state-sponsored Russian hackers are the ones who stole 20,000 emails from the Democratic National Committee and leaked them to the public just in time to disrupt the Democrats' national convention in Philadelphia. Here's why the experts are so confident the Russians did it: • GEOGRAPHY: At least one of the hacker groups attacking the DNC appeared to cease operations on Russian holidays, and its work hours aligned with a Russian time zone, cybersecurity company FireEye concluded in a report. • LANGUAGE: The hackers also left an obvious digital fingerprint, one cybersecurity expert said, … • FORENSIC EVIDENCE: After a different batch of hacked Democratic emails was released last month, a wide spectrum of cyber-security experts concluded that it was the work of Russian intelligence agencies through previously known proxy groups … • MOTIVE: Given their mutual and very public bromance, Putin would much prefer a Trump presidency to a Clinton one, and the timing suggests the leak was timed for maximum embarrassment to the Democrats and their presumptive nominee. … • HISTORY: U.S. intelligence officials, …previously seen evidence of foreign hackers spying on U.S. presidential candidates, … The main reason, however, is that the email hack is exactly the kind of thing Russian hackers can do, are supposed to do, and are used for by Putin and his aides, retired four-star Adm. James Stavridis told NBC News.

Bernie Sanders and Elisabeth Warren
That would be a hell of a ticket.

And people love the guy for being such an arse hole.

When Trump gives an excuse for something he said, that’s yuuuuge. He is now saying his comment about Russian hackers was sarcasm. I wouldn’t care if he said it was due to a bit of bad potato in his soup, any admission, even the slightest inkling of having said something wrong is the equivalent of resigning in shame for most politicians.

He is now saying his comment about Russian hackers was sarcasm.
I'm sure it was. The problem is that now he is a candidate for the office of President of the United States. It's time for him to grow up. Was his proposal for a wall between us and Mexico sarcasm? Was his comment that climate change is a Communist Chinese hoax sarcasm? How do we know when to draw the line? Is his portrayal of himself as an arrogant dumbass just an act to get uneducated white males to vote for him, or is it real? Or ..... Many a true word hath been spoken in jest. I took it as sarcasm. I don’t see that he said anything wrong. What he said was what most working class Americans were saying or thinking anyway. I bet Sanders wanted to say exactly what Trump said, but can’t right now. You're really late if you just now figured out that Trump is not hurt by political correctness fallout that hurt career politicians. What's does it take to get transparency in this country anyway? If it takes getting the emails from Russia, I'm all for it because it is better than the Bull ShXX we are getting from this administration.

No, I don’t think Trump is acting. Your are right, he is an arrogant dumbass. But if it just the uneducated white males voting for Trump. Then we need to shut down the education system before we lose all of our values. As far as the wall. What would you have said to get the points across that he did? Now in order for it to work at the time Trump use it, you are limited to only ONE LINE. As far as the Communist Chinese and climate change, never heard of it. How do we draw the line? That's is so easy. Washington lies over and over to the American people. To them we are all dumb-asses. The reason to vote for Trump is you are voting to stop the American caste system. What happened with the Clinton emails is just one example of the caste system at work.

Don’t want to waste my time opening the website. It is dated 2012. I don’t think Trump was running for President then. What does Trump think now? People change their minds. And Trump changes his all the time.

Yes, Trump changes his mind a lot, but at least he lies consistently.

I would have to agree. But I think it is not all lies of deception. I consider Trump is greatly misinformed on a lot of issues. That is no different than the average American. Hell, with the type of media controls and misinformation being given out by the government and press, this should be expected. Unless you are like Clinton and can initiate cover-ups or cling to information from being released. Or control the prosecution process. What is happening is nothing more than controlling the masses. What you are posting and saying is exactly what the power behind the Clintons want. We need to trash all the conspiracy trash and strawman politicking and step back and look at the bigger picture. Remember when we were told the “Banks were too big to fail". Nothing more than a bunch of lies. The truth was that government operations and policies was part of the banks. Now we are seeing the same thing with Clinton. She is too big to prosecute. Aren’t people writing books about things that the Clinton’s have done that would have put anybody else in jail?

What’s happening here is a grand display of ignorance on the part of Trump and his followers.

Aren’t people writing books about things that the Clinton’s have done that would have put anybody else in jail?
Yes, but that doesn't mean that they contain any evidence. It means there are publishers out there who know what sells and don't care about integrity. It's also an online "documentary" https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=7LYRUOd_QoM

Are you sure the people are following Trump? Or is Trump following the people?

Definitely the people following Trump. They need an authoritarian figure to make them feel safe.

But, there's also the aspect of people just being plain pissed off and scared and resentful and they want to tell the system (and the haves) to fuck itself. And Trump is the biggest Fuck You out there. Stupid and self destructive but then the right wing, faith-based crowd are know for embracing self destructive actions and then blaming everyone else for the destruction they themselves have wrought.
We need to trash all the conspiracy trash and strawman politicking and step back and look at the bigger picture.
I agree. Everyone seems all wrapped around the personalities and sound bites. I took a look at the bigger picture by reading through the Republican 2016 Platform and the Democratic 2016 Platform. Here are a few random excerpts from the GOP Platform:
• The Democratic Party does not understand that coal is an abundant, clean, affordable, reliable domestic energy resource • The Keystone Pipeline has become a symbol of everything wrong with the current Administration’s ideological approach. After years of delay, the President killed it to satisfy environmental extremists. We intend to finish that pipeline and others as part of our commitment to North American energy security. • The environment is too important to be left to radical environmentalists. They are using yesterday’s tools to control a future they do not comprehend. The environmental establishment has become a self-serving elite, stuck in the mindset of the 1970s, subordinating the public’s consensus to the goals of the Democratic Party. Their approach is based on shoddy science, scare tactics, and centralized command-and-control regulation. • Our highest priority, therefore, must be to secure our borders and all ports of entry and to enforce our immigration laws. That is why we support building a wall along our southern border (Trump’s Wall made it into the platform) and protecting all ports of entry. The border wall must cover the entirety of the southern border and must be sufficient to stop both vehicular and pedestrian traffic. • In Obergefell, five unelected lawyers robbed 320 million Americans of their legitimate constitutional authority to define marriage as the union of one man and one woman... We endorse the First Amendment Defense Act, Republican legislation in the House and Senate which will bar government discrimination against individuals and businesses for acting on the belief that marriage is the union of one man and one woman (The Indiana/Pence legislation to legalize discrimination under the guise of religious freedom). • We support the public display of the Ten Commandments as a reflection of our history (What?!?) and our country’s Judeo-Christian heritage and further affirm the rights of religious students to engage in voluntary prayer at public school events and to have equal access to school facilities • A good understanding of the Bible being indispensable for the development of an educated citizenry, we encourage state legislatures to offer the Bible in a literature curriculum as an elective in America’s high schools.
Then regarding the comment:
She is too big to prosecute. Aren’t people writing books about things that the Clinton’s have done that would have put anybody else in jail?
This is a joke, right? They've been grilling her for months at great expense to the taxpayers based on smoke and mirrors. And so many have done worse and gotten less, I wouldn't know where to start the list. Maybe with David Petraeus?

Well done. Speaking of well done, I think I'm going to have to start watching the Daily Show once in a while.

Docile description for where Trevor Noah goes.

I respectfully disagree. Trump has not detailed any of his plans. That is most likely because they are not Trump’s plans. Trump is following the will of the people as you would expect a businessman to do. Businesses service the people whereas politicians want to rule and create a prodigy. Businesses want to provide value driven services that make the people happy. Politicians want to police, tax and control. They want more and more power. A good example of politicians at work is Chris Christie’s George Washington Bridge or Bridgegate. You post about Trump and his bankrupts like it is just terrible. But say nothing of the fact that Bill was disbarred from practicing law and fined for giving false testimony. The bankruptcies were smart business practices at the time. A President giving false testimony is never acceptable.
