Btw, I heard that Laura was even more powerful than Katrina. But she hit in a less populated part of the Gulf Coast. And, apparently, most people evacuated ahead of her. So the loss of life was much lower than it could have been. Still there was MASSIVE damage of property and infrastructure. Water plants were destroyed. And who knows how much pollution has been released and spread.
