SKwawky: Murder of Haniyeh in Iran shows Israel wants regional war, has no interest in peace
Murder of Haniyeh in Iran shows Israel wants regional war, has no interest in peace.
This is a curious statement in view of the fact that every time Israel stops bombing the terroristâs homebase, the terrorists resume bombing Israel.
How does one solve that problem?
Note that Israel is not a terrorist country, whereas the countries it is bombing are internationally designated as terrorist countries.
It seem to me it is up to the terrorists to extend the hand of peace where it will be welcome, instead of Israel extending the hand of peace and be rewarded with renewed terrorist attacks.
Hamas political leader, who has said that the blood of martyrs will deepen Palestiniansâ resolve and attachment to their land, assassinated in Israeli strike in Tehran â Israel wants US to join war
What about the innocent Israeli martyrs that just keep getting killed by Hamas and Hezbollah?
OVERVIEW
HAMAS FLAG
HAMASâthe acronym for Harakat al-Muqawama al-Islamiya (Islamic Resistance Movement)âis the largest and most capable militant group in the Palestinian territories and one of the territoriesâ two major political parties. HAMAS emerged in 1987 during the first Palestinian uprising, or intifada, as an outgrowth of the Muslim Brotherhoodâs Palestinian branch. The group is committed to armed resistance against Israel and the creation of an Islamic Palestinian state in Israelâs place.
HAMAS has been the de facto governing body in the Gaza Strip since 2007, when it ousted the Palestinian Authority from power.
TACTICS AND TARGETS
HAMAS uses improvised explosive devices, short- and long-range rockets and mortars, small arms, kidnapping operations, rocket-propelled grenades, man-portable air defense systems, antitank missiles, and unmanned aircraft systems in attacks against Israeli military forces and civilians, as well as against ISIS and other Salafist armed group members based in Gaza. The group also uses cyber espionage and computer network exploitation operations.
FOREIGN TERRORIST GROUP DESIGNATION
The US State Department designated HAMAS as a foreign terrorist organization in October 1997.
HEZBOLLAH
Hezbollah was established by Lebanese clerics primarily to fight the 1982 Israeli invasion of Lebanon.[14] It adopted the model set out by Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini after the Iranian Revolution in 1979, and the partyâs founders adopted the name âHezbollahâ as chosen by Khomeini.
Since then, close ties have developed between Iran and Hezbollah.[48] The organization was created with the support of 1,500 Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) instructors,[49] and aggregated a variety of Lebanese Shia groups into a unified organization to resist the then-current Israeli occupation of Southern Lebanon.[50][51][14][52]
Hezbollah did not disarm after the Israeli withdrawal from South Lebanon, in contravention of the UN Security Council resolution 1701.[71] From 2006, the groupâs military strength grew significantly,[72][73] to the extent that its paramilitary wing became more powerful than the Lebanese Army.[74][75]
> Hezbollah has been described as a âstate within a stateâ,[76] and has grown into an organization with seats in the Lebanese government, a radio and a satellite TV station, social services and large-scale military deployment of fighters beyond Lebanonâs borders. [77][78][79]
The group currently receives military training, weapons, and financial support from Iran and political support from Syria,[80] although the sectarian nature of the Syrian war has damaged the groupâs legitimacy. [77][81][82]
In 2021, Nasrallah said the group had 100,000 fighters.[83] Either the entire organization or only its military wing has been designated a terrorist organization by several countries, as well as by the European Union.[84]
The designations are related to how powerful the nation is. Less powerful, and youâre a terrorist state. More powerful, and the international courts specifically list your crimes.
I disagree, it is the behavior that identifies the nature of itâs moral foundation.
Israel has been forcibly engaged in an existential struggle for centuries.
If Israel appears to be a terrorist country, one must never forget that every aggressive act by Israel is in response to a terrorist act by its arch-enemies who have vowed the extermination of Israel altogether.
Remember Hitlerâs âFinal Solutionâ? That sentiment still exists in Islamist countries.
thatâs what everyone says when they go to war. Not everyone is right
We know this current war is in response to a terrorist attack on a peaceful gathering of many nationalities in Israel. Hostages were taken, including US citizens.
Itâs just not that simple
And when proportionality is reduced to existence (life or death) itself, where does your right to self-defense end? Non-resistance was once practised and cost the lives of 6 million Jews, about 2/3 of the entire Jewish population in Euope.
Isnât it interesting. I see 3 soldiers controlling several hundred peacefully cooperative Jews on the way to their own extermination in gas chambers?
And if the reply is, âwell, they didnât know thenâ, I say âwell, they do now!â
The Holocaust was the genocide of European Jews during World War II. Betw*een 1941 and 1945, Nazi Germany and its collaborators systematically murdered some six million Jews across German-occupied Europe, around two-thirds of Europeâs Jewish population.
The murders were carried out primarily through mass shootings and poison gas in extermination camps, chiefly Auschwitz-Birkenau, Treblinka, Belzec, Sobibor, and CheĹmno in occupied Poland.
Separate Nazi persecutions killed a similar or larger number of non-Jewish civilians and POWs; the term Holocaust is sometimes used to refer to the persecution of these other groups.

Is anybody suggesting that Israel should trust Islamic terrorists to live peacefully side by side?
Exactly who is naive here?
So dramatic. Hamas is not that big of a threat.
Tell that to 1200 victims on a nice night of celebration by peaceful civilians.
Israel revises down its death toll from the Oct. 7 Hamas attacks to about 1,200
Today , the problem is that just a few people can kill thousands in he blink of an eye
But what bothers me is that apparently Jewish lives are worth less than Muslim lives?
The opposite was true on that fateful day of 9/11 when 19 terrorist managed to kill 2996 civilians and cause the destruction of some 35 billion dollars in financial damage and we went to war and killed some 300,000 Iraqi civilians as punishment.
Just as we nuked Nagasaki and Hiroshima in response to Pearl Harbor and killed ~350,000 Japanese civilians in response.
Now compare that with total extermination of the State of Israel and the death of all Jews on earth. What solution to prevent such a scenario do you propose?
The problem is that the concept of death is welcomed among committed terrorists.
The only way to stop them is to kill them wherever they are, or else they will persist in trying to kill you.
Logic and reason fail in such situations When you are dealing with an enemy that believes it has permission granted by a higher power, that enemy poses a mortal danger to anyone standing in its way to a perceived eternal salvationâŚ
Do you ever count dead Palestinians? Not even Hamas. Children.
Yes, my heart breaks when I see the carnage. The problem is you are telling the wrong people to stop this eternally damned war.
Tell Hamas to stop and return the hostages . Iâm sure Israel will stop the bombing. They were not bombing Palestine before the Hamas attack, were they?
It is Hamas that is waging war on Israel. It is Hamas that is using civilians (children) as shields, not the other way around.
It is Hamas that is the immoral and responsible party . The United Nations should go in and arrest all Hamas so that Palestinians and Israelis can live in peace.
But as long as Israel is condemned for their defensive actions, Hamas will never stop and that will make Iran very happy.
Isnât it interesting that Ukraine is being congratulated for invading Russia, killing Russians in a defensive tactic, but Israel is being condemned for the same thing.
Iâve said this before about the U.S. and the N.A. Iâve seen where the Gaza Strip is and I think, why canât Israel and Gaza share the land? I donât get why any human canât share this world, but that said, I also realize there is a lot more going on than just sharing the land too. Still, bottom line is, everyone needs to share, including Israel and Gaza. It would make things more peaceful.
Yes. Itâs sad you donât know that. And all the other crimes theyâve been accused of. Do you think those are shams?
The question was rhetorical. I know Israel was not bombing Palestine before the attack by Hamas terrorist. As to other crimes committed by individual Israelis , I wouldnât know and you would not either. Those are the concern of local police.
A terrorist act is an international incident. That is why Hamas is a terrorist organization and a threat to all nations.
So you are dismissing the international courts. How convenient.
Or history
Israel declared the annexation of East Jerusalem in 1980, but the international community still considers it an occupied territory. Palestinians want East Jerusalem as the capital of their future state
What do you want to do with an international court about a local issue?
There is such a thing as âstandingâ. An international court in a local issue is totally inappropriate.
And while local issues should be resolved locally, that statistic above should be a warning to all who would dare to take on the nation of Israel.
Israel is no longer a patsy to be spat upon as has been done for a 1000 years.
You mess with Israel at your peril!
Those are not my words, those are the words of Israel; ânever againâ.
Whether I agree is totally irrelevant. But watching our family physician being slaughtered by nazi soldiers across the street from my home in Amsterdam, just for being a Jew, I can sympathize with their resolve.
