It’s a wholistic way of looking at it.
And you seem like a fool.
A “joyless” person could not have evolved thoughts like these:
Meaningful Insights Along the Way
Nearing my 67th birthday, I decided to collect some of the fundamental concepts of Earth and living that I’ve picked up along the way, and I’d like to share. Here goes.
Appreciating the Human Mindscape ~ Physical Reality divide
I am a self-aware introspective element in the Pageant of Evolution
We create our Gods from within ourselves
We cannot understand an organism, or system for that matter, without understanding its environment
Consciousness is the inside reflection of our body, interacting with itself, along with the environment and circumstance it’s embedded within
An appreciation for Earth and Deep Time, billions of years worth, and the dance of geology & biology, unfolding one day at a time, and that it produced me, along with many other wonders
There is no Body-Mind Problem, it is in actuality an Ego-God Problem
My body has taken better care of me, than I have of it
Consciousness is the product of Earth’s biology, of interacting, of living, when we die, consciousness ceases, all that awaits us is the deep dark eternal sleep from which none awake, and it is good
Yes, it is good, live your blessed moment while you have it to live
Our after-life unfolds within the hearts and minds of others, and it is good.
It requires a deep inner joy (and appreciation) to enjoy the wonder of babies & toddlers, while developing a rapport with them, that most adults seem incapable of.
To me your words paint an empty fearful shell incapable of appreciating anything beyond your own petty needs & desires.
Of course, my deep joy is also balanced out by a deepening sadness and pain, you couldn’t understand since it sure seems that only you matter to yourself.
Me thinks, punch drunk flailing.
The right wing is so desperate to paint liberals as enemies worth demonizing they’ve stopped thinking, but don’t know when to stop talking*.
Though I like to think he’s actually a decent guy, behind his online words.
And you’re a big tough guy so lets’ discuss rough and touch macho stuff.
How about that Tiger?
Oh but I thought we were talking about finding joy in living and in people, and the difference between an empty shell (facade) and a human of substance, which incidentally comes from living with some ethics and introspection (and I dare say sense of duty towards others), but you don’t like any of that stuff so what’s that leave us? trump and the bizarre world of right wing victimization, which of course is everyone else’s fault, no need for any boring introspection there.
How about the Irish they were not considered to be part of the white race were enslaved by England for centuries your were not allowed to be employed being Irish or own land - right there with black people - No Irish wanted on job ads treated like the scum of the earth . England even got away with annexing northern Ireland. They even tried genocide during the potato famine hoping we would all stave to death which was the mass exodus to Boston and New York were they were again treated like garbage and still unemployable being Irish. White covers a wide variety of people just like black and Asian. Within the races they slaughter and kill hating each other over the minor differences - No race can say they are clean.
In short, the “Irish slaves” myth argues that the first slaves brought to the Americas were Irish, that they were white, and that this fact, covered up by liberal historians, undermines the legacy of the African slave trade and proves that modern theories of racial inferiority are true.
…
Irish scholar Liam Hogan has been tracking and debunking this reincarnated meme since he first saw it in 2013. Last year, Hogan published an impressive five-part series exposing the myth and provided a detailed historical analysis of the origins and evolution of the meme. …
We’ve seen numerousclaims online that white Irish people were enslaved for hundreds of years.
However, the idea of “Irish slaves” is a common myth, and claims of white Irish slavery have been continually discredited for decades. In 2016, dozens of historians signed an open letter condemning several publications for the repeating of the myth.
Firstly, the picture attached to this claim is more likely of Belgian coal miners, although the exact source is unclear. Either way, it’s impossible for there to be photos of “Irish slaves” as photography did not exist when the enslavement was claimed to have occurred.
Next, the text of the majority of these posts comes from a 2008 article from a page on website “OpEdNews” called “The Slaves that time forgot.” It is unclear who the author John Martin is, and the article has no citations.
A lot of Irish were forced into servitude in the British colonies. That ain’t a myth. It’s also true they were treated just as bad as Blacks. But they were indentured servants rather than slaves. Very few Irish Americans are descended from them as it was mainly a Caribbean thing.
Kamala Harris’s Jamaican mulatto father has some of that blood.
If we want examples of White slavery, we have to look at Muslims from the 1300s to 1800s.
