Zohran Mamdani elected mayor of New york

Seen from France,

Trump calls him a communist, he calls himself a socialist, in Europe, he would be named a social-democrat, at best, someone from center left.

He is young, he is a Muslim.

Mainly, he spoke to the people of their daily problems, housing, transports, child care.

And the old Democrat establishment rejects him.

In fact, they don’t understand that they have failed.

The other who hava failed are the members of the fractions of the Dems who believed that adding fringe minorities could build a majority.

The Franklin Roosevelt party was an alliance of liberals and working classes. May be the nowadays Dems should go back to the fundamentals.

On the day the darth vader dies . Good riddance war scum dick cheney.

Meanwhile Mamdani - NY Victory Speech. NBC cut out cos he was laying into billionaire class so well.

Which included :
“Dont let the billionaire class tell you your enemy is those earning $5 less than you”

From 28 mins in

Mamdani will run NYC into the ground.

Although, maybe that’s what is needed before someone comes in and makes changes for real.

Its already run down . Thats why he won

It’s not great, but it’s far from run down.

There is some reasoning here, but probably different thinking than mine. As Hakeem Jeffries recently said, Democrats think there should be floor, a minimum amount of food and shelter, that people should expect in this wealthy country, and, there should be no ceiling, maximum opportunity.

Instead, we have shifted to helping bankers and reducing corporate taxes, on loosening regulations for short term profits instead of keeping the environment clean for everyone. We keep education funding low so people aren’t aware this is happening. We offer milquetoast candidates so they quit voting. But once in a while someone breaks through all that and gets elected.

What is meant by a floor and no ceiling by this corporate Democrat?

Its great for the billionaire class and the jews want israel first over Americans needs

I answered that. What is it you don’t understand?

My question was what does Jeffries mean by floor and what is meant by ceiling?

floor: a minimum amount of food and shelter, that people should expect in this wealthy country

ceiling: maximum opportunity

And you believe that democrats like Jeffries are fighting for this?

Do you have a point?

They don’t care about anything Mamdani said besides his anti-Israel comments.

Mamdani doesn’t care either.

Jefferies has nothing to do whatsoever with Mamdani. He is a mainstream Black democrat and Mamdani is far-Left.

Be an adult and answer the question

Obviously I believe that, why else would I quote him? Your question barely qualifies as a question.

Good question. Why would you push forward jeffries as a fighter for the working class when he did not endorse him after he won the Democratic primary, and only reluctantly provided support in the days immediately before the election and does not agree with Mamdanis policies namely rent freeze , free public transport , childcare and govt run supermarkets? Think .

I didn’t push forward anybody. I used a quote.

Why are you censoring commentary ?
