It’s In The Constitution!!!
Actually the Constitution allows for the declaration of a “State of Emergency”
A state of emergency or emergency powers is a situation in which a government is empowered to be able to put through policies that it would normally not be permitted to do, for the safety and protection of their citizens. A government can declare such a state during a natural disaster, civil unrest, armed conflict, medical pandemic or epidemic or other biosecurity risk.
Justitium is its equivalent in Roman law—a concept in which the Roman Senate could put forward a final decree (senatus consultum ultimum) that was not subject to dispute yet helped save lives in times of strife.
I’m impatient with the unvaccinated, and at my barbershop today no one was wearing masks, and I asked if they were vaccinated and they said no, we’re not because we’ve all gotten Covid already. I had no response because it kinda makes sense. If you got something then you’re immune. Is that not the case with Covid? If it IS, then why should these folks get vaccinated?
No it’s not. You can still get COVID again and if it didn’t kill you the first time, it very well might the second time. Just because one had the Alpha variant, doesn’t mean they can’t get the Delta warient. This is one reason why the fully vaccinated have to wear mask right now. They can get this Delta variant and spread it to other, even if they are asymptomatic or have what they think is allergies or a mild cold. Because people didn’t do as they were told by health officials, we have all these new variants and it’s not same as it was in December 2019 or January, February, March… of 2020. The vaccine if more geared towards the earlier variants and because of that, we will need boosters that fight the newer variants. Because of newer variants, those who had in May of 2020 are not immune to the Delta variant. They can still get it and when they do, they end up in the hospital, possibly again and die. Thus why health officials are calling the Delta variant the pandemic of the unvaccinated.
I need to add, that there is a Lambda variant that is of concern, because it evaded vaccines in lab tests. If you understand evolution, you understand these variants and it’s not good for anyone to be running around without a mask and/or being vaccinated.
But see just the fact that you can get it again, vaccinated or unvaccinated/got it before, doesn’t help. That allows them to turn it into a choice, hey if I got it and I get it again, my choice. And if we say, hey you can pass it on to others, same thing…you can pass it on even if you’ve been vacc’d. Now if getting vacc’d meant you can’t pass it on, then it seems totally different. But I don’t think that’s the case. So…ugg.
What I wish someone would do is say “Hey look at all those liberal trump supporters choosing not to wear a mask, Go Pro-Choice, awesome!”
You’re missing the point of the vaccine. If you get vaccinated, it reduces your chances of getting it AND ending up in the hospital and dying. It is rare that vaccinated people end up in the hospital, hooked up on a respirator, fighting for you life.
Here’s another reason to get vaccinated- preventing long COVID:
No that’s exactly THEIR point. It’s their choice if they want to reduce their own chances, end up in hospital, etc. or not. What I tried to tell them was it wasn’t just about themselves and their family but about the community they live in. But unless getting vaccinated prevents you from passing it on to others, then it does seem no different from being “naturally vaccinated” so to speak by having gotten covid.
I saw a chart today. It was a scatter chart of all 50 states on a line showing which ones were getting more Covid cases. Each state was labeled blue or red, showing if their electoral votes went to Biden or Trump. TN was way off on the right, with high cases. Then came almost all the other “red” states, then it tapered off with the “blues”.
But I have my doubts if many of the people catching covid and ending up in hospitals, questioning their vax status, will end up turning from red to blue.
I guess I’m here and forgot about the forum, maybe. I have not done the unapproved jabs and will not, and I’m 83 and in good health. Count on my strong immune system that I work on and have been for about 30 yrs.
The COVID-19 vaccines are now FDA approved or at least the Pfizer and the Moderna is next. At 83, counting one your immune system alone is a bad idea, especially concerning COVID-19. If you get it, you have a lot higher chance of dying from it.
It is NOT approved, Pfizer did a lot of fancing stuff and libs went with it. Search deeper and I don’t have all that info at my hands right now but I’ve been on many groups and we are all aware of the lies lies les.
Thanks, I’m, I am home a lot with a damaged hip mess so I’m not in any fear, thanks.,
Which also means you won’t be out and about spreading it either.
That is your choice. And it seems reasonable.
It is those that refuse a vax and go out and mix with other non-vaxers every day that perpetuate the virus.
It also increase the chances of vaxers catching it and spreading it to those that cannot vax for medical or other reasons.
But it is the “ME ME ME!!!” mentality that stops at the first statement - “It’s (your) MY choice” (without consideration of the others around me)
I’m not picking a fight with you. Just explaining where “us vaxers” are upset with some non-vaxers. Some have reasonable to legitimate reasons not to vax.
I’m of the same opinion as you with respect to the Flu vax. Never had the vax, never had the flu. I’m not out and about much where I might get it.
but that doesn’t mean I never will get the flu vax.
Pfizer really has been approved and not just for emergency use. It is fully approved by the FDA and that’s no lie. It’s been fully approved for about a week now.
You keep telling yourself that lie and ignoring reality. Eventually, it very well could kill you, if just being 83 doesn’t first.
Not strong enough to fight COVID-19. If you get it, at your age, you will die. The majority of senior citizens over the age of 65 have died from getting COVID-19 and the older they are, the more likely one dies from it.
I’m not saying this to offend you or scare you. I’m saying this because it’s true. Without the vaccine, which teaches your immune system to fight an illness, you will die from COVID-19. I’d rather see people die from natural causes, such as just being in their 80s, 90s, or 100s, than to drown with COVID-19. Drowning in a virus is not a good way to go.
That said, my grandmother, her mother, and her sisters all lived well into their 90s and they saw doctors and took prescribed meds as directed by their doctors, as well as vitamins. In fact, one of my grandmother’s sisters sold Shaklee, which sold a LOT of various supplements. My aunt told my mother for her and me to take Alfalfa supplement and it would cure our allergies. It didn’t. We just had an allergic reaction to the supplement because we are allergic to Alfalfa.
Moral of the story is, not all supplements are scientifically proven and could cause more harm than good. It’s OK to take D3 and multivitamins, but as my family has shown, you also need REAL medicine to go with it. That’s why supplements are called supplements and medicine is called medicine.
