Trump's political prowess in action (lets make it a collection of tidbits)

Is this how an intelligent CEO would act, attack first do homework later?
I have the feeling this thing is could be another thread that keeps on giving until the destructive gold-plated slob is impeached

5 Takeaways From the Failed Senate Effort to Repeal Obamacare By THOMAS KAPLAN - JULY 28, 2017 - New York Times https://www.nytimes.com/2017/07/28/us/politics/senate-health-care-highlights-mccain-murkowski.html Item three:
Bullying isn’t effective. After Ms. Murkowski voted against beginning debate on health care, Mr. Trump went after her on Twitter. It was not a fair fight: He has more than 34 million followers, and she has about 99,000. Mr. Trump also directed the interior secretary, Ryan Zinke, to call Ms. Murkowski and remind her of the Alaska issues controlled by his department. It wasn’t a subtle move. (actually it seems down right idiotic, all things considered) But this time, Ms. Murkowski held the whip hand: Murkowski is chairwoman not only of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, which has jurisdiction over the Interior Department, but also of the appropriations subcommittee that funds it. Ms. Murkowski voted no.
Christ I though they keep saying how smart business people are and that we should hand over our government to their blinding avarice .   :long: Too bad they are taking the country down with them. Because after Trump get's booted the absolutists and totalitarians will start their insurrection against democracy, lordie knows they keep stocking up the weapons and frothing at the mouth, just waiting for an excuse to start shooting. Oh sure that's a big big minority of so called tea partiers and right wing political evangelical types and the Alt-right they generated. But it doesn't make many weapons in the hands of self-certain crazies to make a big and lasting impact. Hang on America, this roller coast ride has just started. All because most American's abandoned their Democracy and felt too self-superiors to dirty their hands with the politics that dictate how our government functions. A healthy democracy (society) DEMANDS and informed and engaged electorate - where the hell are they?

Bullying IS effective among spineless Republicans. Trump has proven this to be the case. Lois
Leaked Trump transcripts show his incoherent, ill-informed narcissism Julian Borger - the UK Guardian - August 3, 2017 The leak of conversations between the US president and the leaders of Mexico and Australia may well be a cry for help from within the administration The transcripts of his conversations with Enrique Peña Nieto and Malcolm Turnbull show the president to be no more coherent in private than he is public: ill-informed – even about a major attack on US soil – and narcissistic to the point of absurdity. “I am the world’s greatest person," he tells Turnbull, and boasts to his fellow world leaders about the size of the crowds who turn out to hear him speak. Maintaining his image as a strong leader in the eyes of his supporters emerges, again and again in the course of the conversations, as an overarching priority – over and above the maintenance of strong relations with allied countries. The transcripts serve as a reminder that being “nice" to Trump counts for more than long-term strategic alliances. At one point in his castigation of Turnbull, he compared him unfavourably with Vladimir Putin, with whom Trump had recently spoken. “Putin was a pleasant call. This is ridiculous," Trump said shortly before ending the call abruptly. In private as in public, Trump’s praise for the Russian president is an unshakeable constant. ... More juicy and heartbreaking stuff.
All the kings horses and all the kings men couldn't put Trumpty Dumpty together again. Too bad he's going to leave that office in a wreck.

Proven effective with masses of spineless citizens just as well.

Reviewing the news reminds me of an old soap opera that started with the sands of time sliding down an hour glass, all that wasted irretrievable time.
It’s way worse than a soap opera, it’s our national greek tragedy unfolding before our eyes. Our deer eyes glued to the headlights careening at us.
What Sen. Bob Corker said may have pushing decorum, but it was honest and we are in a hell of a fix with that bubble head president.
Sorry it’s ugly but all Donald Trump has to offer our country is the rants and rages of an absolutist self-certain bully - with zero sense of history or appreciation for the complexities of the modern world. Just listen to the guy explain himself, that is the stuff of the immature high schooler mind. The US President should at least be an intellectual adult.

The Trump White House’s dangerously authoritarian response to criticism] By Aaron Blake October 10 This post has been updated with Bannon's comments Monday night. President Trump, as the White House will often remind us, is a counterpuncher. You hit him; he hits back twice as hard. You bring a knife; he brings a bazooka. But while the White House thinks Trump's counterpunching is only fair, this is not a two-way street. And yet again Monday, those close to Trump made the case that it is simply not okay to criticize the president in the manner he goes after others. After Trump attacked Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) over some veiled criticisms last week, Corker tweeted Sunday that the White House was an “adult day-care center" and later suggested Trump's threats to foreign countries could lead to World War III. Appearing on “Fox and Friends" on Monday morning, White House counselor Kellyanne Conway said that this was not okay. Host Brian Kilmeade teed it up nicely, saying, “What a demeaning tweet at the president." ...
