I believed this when I was in 6th grade. I think I spelled “majority” correctly at the time though. Besides the obvious minority candidates winning and gerrymandering to create a fake majority in the House, this doesn’t work. You can poll on good ideas, but people vote for the one who says they will fix the “immigration problem” despite not knowing what the problem is or what a good solution is. That, or one or two other hot, emotional issues, not something complicated, like taxes. You are discounting the power of rhetoric, lies, the blitz of commercials, and fear-mongering. People with money know how those things work.
