Courts don’t stop criminals. We would have to have a complete police state with thoughts being punished. Wars are prevented when goverments treat people as free and cared for and respected. I’m not sure Netanyahu fits that description.
Well, let’s hope there are better, more benign solutions. The terrible thing is that it is the innocent civilians who always pay the highest price in war.
I only support the right to self-defense. But I certainly oppose the notion of nuclear holocaust.
The knowledge that Israel has nuclear weapons should be enough to make her enemies pause before escalating this two thousand year old vendetta.
What greater fear would there be when israel enemies see that she is prepared to drop a nuclear bomb? No one would dare come near. Support for this should be unqualified for those that want to see israel survive
I think he did, ignoring international law. Something you say Hamas should do. Why did the whole world not stop Israel while they built settlements outside of their borders?
Now that is the kind of thing that should be settled in court.
Israel is not killing people to build settlements. And bloodless land disputes can be settled in court without going to war.
Building an illegal settlement is a little different than invading a country, as Russia is doing in Ukraine with the intent to take the whole country by force.
That’s the power position standard. For them, they can solve they’re grievances by war. For the ones without nukes, with no first world weapon sales, they should take their problems to court. The court that you said doesn’t work.
Who is “them”? It is Hamas who think they can solve this by war. They can’t unless the world stops Israel from defending itself and we get another holocaust.
We don’t blame Ukraine for defending itself. Note that Russia itself does not have to fear being bombed. Maybe its time to make Russia hurt for its aggression.
