The West is Falling Apart - Now Macron says France Facing Civil War

Macron labeled the opposition parties as extremist and claimed that their rhetoric would trigger more conflict. “When you are fed up and daily life is hard, you can be tempted to vote for the extremes that have quicker solutions,” he said. “But the solution will never be to reject others.”

The culprits are the politician who have governed France for the last 40 years, according to the dictates of financial capitalism, disdaining the demands and the needs of the people.

When the French people justly rejected the European treaty, by referendum, the political parties adopted it using another procedure.

Macron is the last guilty.

He was elected for the first time in 2017 and he was reelected in 2024, with the votes of the left, to bar the ultra-right.

He asked the left to vote for him, arguing that it was necessary to build a Republican alliance.

But he showed he despises the common people, refused to take in consideration the demands of the yellow jackets, repressing them harshly, convened a convention of citizens to make proposals about the climatic change, promised to make law from the propositions and rejected or diluted most of them.

French are found of their public services. they pay taxes and think they are entitled to good services, schools, hospitals, justice and so. Macron and his boys pursued the destruction of theses services.

Icing on the cake, he legitimates the ideas of the Ultra-right by having the parliament vote laws using its propositions, against migrants, for instance.

Result: in 2017, Macron wins against Marine Le Pen with 66 % of the votes, in 2022, he wins with 58, 5% of the votes, and for the European election of last month, Ultra right gets 36, 80 % of the votes, the left gets 32 % of the votes and, the presidential party 14, 60 %.

And now, Macron dares to call the left extremist and anti-republican, putting it at the same level as the ultra right.

He tries to prevent an electoral disaster by presenting himself as the ultimate resort against extremism. In fact, he is making the campaign of the Ultra right.

Polls put Ultra right à 34 %, Left at 27 % and the presidential party at 21 %.

In the past, the French ultra-right has voted as it votes usually, against taxing the riches, raising the wages, financing the fight against the mistreatment of women and against ecology.

I despise and hate him.

the NFP does not offer an alternative for workers to Macron’s police-state regime or to the RN.

Stateless, you are right, but voters don’t vote for objectives reasons, but for subjectives ones.

In 2017, RN got 13, 20 % of votes, in 2022, 18, 5 % ans polls predict 33, 5 % for it.

25,9 % of electors voted at 12 H 00,

Never so many have voted for such an election since 1981. I am very afraid.

59, 39 % of voters at 17 H 00, more voters than for the last elections at the closure of the votes.

65 % of voters, not bad.

Ultra right 34 %, Left union, 28 %, Presidential majority 20 %.

A victory of ultra right, but less that they could hope, as for the European elections, it got 40 % and since a part of the right rallied to them.

Left has announced when three candidates are qualified for the next part of the vote, its candidates will renonce and they will call to vote for the candidate of democracy.

Right and presidential party have announced that they will not vote for candidates of a left party, LFI, as too much extreme.

Le Pen says no more support for Ukraine

According to the projections released on Sunday night by pollsters Ipsos and Talan, RN and its allies are leading with 33.2% of the vote, followed by the left-wing New Popular Front bloc (28.1%). Macron’s coalition is third with 21%. The turnout rate was estimated at 65.5%, the highest France has seen in four decades.

According to the projections by Radio France Internationale (RFI), RN is poised to secure between 230 and 280 seats in the 577-member National Assembly, while an estimate for Macron’s bloc is between 70 and 100 seats.

Who will macrons “centrists” turn to in the run off? The left or the right ? Reminds me when Italy was left politically vacant with the execution of mussolini . The capitalists and landlords were asking themselves who do we prefer. The communists or the mafia? Seems they are in a same place now.

And the answer is NAZiS . Marcon has chosen the nazis by telling his losing candidates to stay in the race for the next round that will split the left vote. Told you !!!

Fake news.

Macron has asked his candidates not to renew their candidacy each time they came third, and left has done the same.
could
This agreement has been respected in almost all constituencies.

I could gave you hundred of sources in French.

Mélenchon And macron to form govt? What kind of " left " is the NFP ??? :face_vomiting:

Macron said he will invoke Article 16 of the French constitution and rule as a dictator, if an NFP-backed government advocated policies he deemsed unacceptable to the banks.

How do you feel about honesty?

My problem with trump and the Brexit and I can’t believe the extreme right in the France is the same, it’s built on lies and deception via strategies developed during the radicalization of climate science denial.
Fidelity towards facts means nothing,
superficial simplified emotionalized manipulation was and is the name of the game.

Do can any solution even be considered, if we’re all lying at each other?

And when honesty and facts means nothing anymore - what’s the plan?

Part of honesty is to realistically investigate and understand how we got here.

I know the extreme left gets pretty flakey, and I don’t understand them any better than the extreme right supremesist types, but they are a tiny minority. With most of the rest being the consumer masses, ranging from struggling, to gluttonous, bricks in a wall so to speak.

Thanks Morgan, I’ll look forward to you continuing to fact check this thread regarding the happenings in France. Although English sources would be easier to deal with. :raising_hand_man:

I get the translate prompt and click it.

Unfortunately it doesn’t automatically explain ranked choice voting. So much for that college degree I got.

What is true is that, for weeks Macron and his boys have labelled le French left as extremist.

French left has exercised the power from 1981 to 1986, from 1988 to 1993, from 1997to 2002? and from 2012 to 2017.

What these experiences taught it ? That to follow the policy of financial powers does not solve anything.

That’s the reason it is labelled as extremist. In fact the present program of French left does not go as far as the 1981 program.

French ultra right ideological program is founded on racism, on te use of migrants as scapegoats, and conspiracy theories. Beyond that, it plays on the fears and the resentment of many French people.

One of their motto is the national preference, which is contrary to the French basis of democracy " All men are born free and equal in rights"

And in fact, they distinguish between national and people who have a double nationality. For the ultra-right, the second ones are not pure French.

What is true is that the electoral successes of the ultra right has freed the public expression of racism.

These last weeks, violence against migrants, colored people, LGBT have increased.

Well even with the hint, I still couldn’t find the prompt, but then I’m old and have my blind spots.

Where do we go from here?

That if ultra right comes to power in France, ultra right political violence and racist acts will explode in number.

The important question is how did we get here?

France has myriad pseudo-left parties and a highly unionised workforce. There was no Trotskyist party from 1971 to 2016 in France. Pablo and Lambert were French. Instead there are several renegade groups (NPA, RP, LO) who call themselves Trotskyist or revolutionary socialist just to confuse the hell out of young people.

The PES receives NO funding from the government or corporations, unlike the union-based pseudo-left. They are never allowed anywhere near an MSM publication or public venue.

What are the PES and MSM ?
