Maybe, but gay people have always been with us. People who prefer to dress differently have always been with us. None of this deviant. Different, but not deviant or even criminal.

Well, what did you mean? That’s what we’ve been trying to figure out for days. There have always been people on a spectrum of gender, sex, and sexuality, by every possible measure. What’s changed is, more people now believe it’s wrong to punish them for not conforming to a cultural definition.

It’s worth saying out loud.
We are facing many threats and challenges to our nation’s prosperity and security. These include a belligerent China, the war in Ukraine, economic disruption, our global climate crisis, and even the specter of artificial intelligence, just to name a few.
These are the issues government should be debating and legislating.
And yet Republican statehouses and Fox News would have you believe our greatest threat is drag queen reading hour.
It’s meant to be a divisive distraction.
It’s lunacy, but it is also a dangerous injustice. And a tragedy.You can tell a lot about a society by how it treats its most vulnerable, marginalized, and ostracized.
History is replete with the horrors inflicted by those who wielded the power of position and privilege against those who had little to none of either. Persecution has taken many forms — legal, cultural, economic, and social. It has led to unimaginable suffering, violence, and death — even reaching the scale of genocide.
About this, there are many lessons from the past to be heeded …

Good point about asexual reproduction. A more accurate description then would be reproduction itself is the essence of life. It still doesn’t change the fact that gays are not in the reproductive game at all.
Anything outside of heterosexual relationships is deviant. Heterosexuality is simply physically, emotionally and socially more healthy than lgbt.
There are far more supporters of lbgt indoctrination in this country than supporters of 12 year olds getting married.
This is strictly opinion. You have nothing to back this up except popular opinion. By your standard, something rare is deviant. That puts a lot of nature into the deviant category.
Deviance is about standards and those change over time. They change because we learn about them, we stop fearing them, we realize they aren’t harmful. The feelings you have of not liking it are exactly the same as them not prefering your feelings. I don’t call someone who doesn’t like chocolate a deviant, even though I think it’s weird and they are missing the health benefits and they have to get a special dessert when everyone else is having chocolate cake.
