Why would you or anyone want a 12 y.o. to get married? That’s just sick.
Many gays make excellent parents of adopted children.
You see, homosexual people are just people like you or me. They can do anything you can do, achieve anything you can achieve. Be productive contributors to society, just like you or me.
Reproduction is not a requirement for being a person. A brain is.
What about a sterile woman, or a sterile man? Are they dysfunctional people who are useless as human beings? They also won’t ever have children.
Search your better self and you’ll see that this is a fabricated issue that has nothing to do with being human or a functional member of society.
Think, in a beehive there is only one individual able to have offspring and after a single mating all drones in the hive are killed. For the hive society, they have fulfilled their singular duty of mating with the queen. Once this single flight is over they become expendable. It works for them! Maybe we should try this arrangement?
It would work for a human society just as well as for bees.

I know genetics is complicated, but I’m pretty sure you know that you can’t inherit something that comes from an alteration after being born. Like, you can’t get a nose job and expect your child to get that better looking nose. Likewise, you can’t indoctrinate someone into being anything LGBTQ… and then expect more LGBTQ.. children.
But there’s more. If you could eliminate all of LGBTQ… history and all people who talk about it, someone would still be born tomorrow who didn’t conform to the current dominant sexual cultural norms. If what you mean is, gays don’t sexually reproduce gays, you’re right. But it’s also true that sexual reproduction results in gays. It’s not just one gene, read the article.

But gays can certainly have offspring, just not with their partner. Many male gay couples donate their sperm and have a surrogate gestate the child.
Many female gay couples use their eggs to gestate a child from a male donor.
That’s an utterly ridiculous notion, that indicates how little you’ve ever thought about it, or even dealt with kids for that matter. Playing house, swapping roles and cross dressing, isn’t going to change anyone’s primal urges. No matter how often sillies would tell me they ‘knew I was gay and it was only a matter of time before I figured it out for myself’ - it didn’t change my underlying nature. Skirts were what excited me and that I naturally chased. Back in my roaring twenties I knew plenty of gay guys, and none of them, even the ones that have came out of the fire and crucifixions stronger, I dare say all would have flipped that DNA switch to heterosexual - but it can’t be done. Genetics is biology, not opinion.
But if life teaches us anything it’s that nobody gets it like they want to be, and if you want to find happiness you’d better come to terms with who you are, rather than constantly wishing you were someone else.
But all this brings it back to looking at the individual humans,
the humans that the Guys of this world so easily lump under a convenient political villain label.
Never thinking twice, except perhaps when one of your children turn out to be “different”.
Thatoneguy, it’s as simple as you being a victim of long term strategic political brainwashing. You would have benefitted from a few critical thinking courses during your youth. Well, of course, a little empathy and compassion is always helpful.
Homosexuality seems to be caused by a mix of genetic and environmental factors, with environment being a much bigger factor. However, the intent is not necessarily to turn kids gay, but to shape their attitudes towards lgbt, aka indoctrination.
I don’t know if it’s many, but some do.

Where do you get this crap from? Gays have been around forever. No one raises their kids to accept the LGBT or to indoctrinate them into it. You seem to think that LGBT is a new thing and not something that has existed since humans became a species. Someone being gay is definitely genetic and not environmental. Some parents in the past have tried to beat the gay out of their kids, even disowned them, or worse forced them into abusive conversion therapy, yet none of that makes them become straight. There have been gay people who have married the opposite gender so to appear straight, then have an affair with someone of the same gender. It’s not environmental, but definitely genetic. Now, transgenderism… give me a little time on that one as to get more information about it.

I think you only read the headline. There’s a difference between “single gene” and “born gay”. If people weren’t born gay, they wouldn’t have those feelings despite a repressive culture.

Guy, this study isn’t really what you think it is, nor anywhere near as definitive as you imply.
But, even more I importantly nothing in that study negates any of the reality within these studies:
Which seems at the heart of LGBT identity crisis certain young people suffer through. Just this evening I was at a meeting where a young guy showed up, but something was off. Then I realized he was a female, but then again with slightly different lighting she looked like a he again. Intelligent speaker too. She/he had no control over what their body was. Why shouldn’t we be able to simply accept her/him as they want to be seen? Why heap onto to the difficulties this young person must have to deal with on a daily basis in a hundred ways big and small???

You know, there are people that believe that teaching kids that we landed on the moon is indoctrination. Or that not calling creationism a theory, is indoctrination. You need to define the word first, then apply it. In India, they indoctrinate their kids into believing cows are sacred, or, is that in America we indoctrinate our kids into believing slaughtering them is okay?
You can’t have it both ways. If you believe these are illnesses, then you should have compassion as you would for any disease, and try to help the people who are sick. But we’ve tried that and changed the diagnosis manual when we learned more about it. If you say it’s “more about nurture”, then you’re saying biology, DNA, and hormones are also factors. If there is something wrong with a person, who decides how to fix it and what is it based on? if we base it on a quick biology check on the day the person was born, that ignores a lot of science.

You’ve got a point there. What counts as indoctrination is subjective. Ultimately, it’s about power.
As for “fixing” gays, that is a completely different can of worms.

Sounds like just an androgynous looking person. That’s much different from being transgender.
