The question now is will Germany accept the offer? I think they better unless they want even more trouble - the new Germans will need mosques…and protections befitting an oppressed people.

I’m assuming he means the way other countries commonly pussyfoot around the Saudis and try to stay in their good graces and keep them happy to maintain favorable trade relations (oil). The Saudis, unlike say Iran or North Korea, often get a pass because everyone wants their oil. And wants its for cheap.
If anyone actually gave a crap, instead of being cynically greedy, sanctions and other international pressures could be applied to drag them kicking and screaming into the modern world. Funny how for decades we’ll apply pressure to a country because they’re socialist but won’t say shit about the Saudi’s treatment of women, non-Muslims, or their foreign workers.
It’s oil before ethics.
