Reintroduction

It’s been about 8 years since my last post. Now retired to Florida and recovering from a bone marrow stem cell transplant (Whew!). Diagnosed with MDS - Myelodysplastic Syndrome. I was given 7 months to live without a transplant. So I went for it and am glad I did. My new birthday is October 5th (transplant date). I have returned home, but it continues to be a struggle as it is for any transplant patient. My atheism remains intact. I thank only the medical staff, my sister who donated her stem cells, and my wife who was/is my caregiver (could not have done it without her assistance).
Hopefully, I’ll be more communicative than in the past.

Good for you, BD! I look forward to your posts.

Thank you. Will do my best.

Same here,
Speaking of intensive care,
we’re on a sort of life support status over here.
Need all the help we can get. :cheese:
