Profiles in Courage: Liz Cheney

Just another anti democratic hack that saw an opportunity to fill a void in the anticipation of a trumpless Republican Party

Oh boy, how is it possible that you read facts in such a skewed way.

Liz Cheney may be very conservative, but she is no hack and she certainly is not anti-democratic.

You do realize that the term Democracy is not the exclusive property of Democrats, just as the term Republic is not exclusive to Republicans.
The US is a Democratic Republic .

Democratic republic

A democratic republic is a form of government operating on principles adopted from a republic and a democracy. As a cross between two exceedingly similar systems, democratic republics may function on principles shared by both republics and democracies.

While not all democracies are republics (constitutional monarchies) and not all republics are democracies, common definitions of the terms democracy and republic often feature overlapping concerns, suggesting that many democracies function as republics, and many republics operate on democratic principles, as shown by these definitions from the Oxford English Dictionary:

  • Democracy: “A system of government by the whole population or all the eligible members of a state, typically through elected representatives.”[[2]]
    (Democratic republic - Wikipedia)

There are conservative democrats as well as conservative republicans.
Liz Chaney is a conservative republican who believes in a democratic system. It is her opposition to Trump’s attempt to grab dictatorial powers that she objected to and is the reason why she is second chair on the Jan6 commisson.

Speaking of opportunism, how’s this:

How Jared Kushner And The Trump Admin Traded U.S. Foreign Policy For $2 Billion

Profiles in big fat solid brass cojones.

White is black
Black is white

Now youre having a laugh

 You do realize that originally, shortly after our forefathers wrote the Constitution, Geo. Washington’s tenure as pres, and etc, we did not have Repugs and Dems. We had Whigs, The Federalists, and plus maybe a few others attempting to run to be the next pres. Washington and Adams were both Federalists. Thomas Jefferson is said to be a Democratic Republican. We were not always Repugs and Dems, plus a few others people rarely vote for or even recognize because all you see running ads for the position they are running for are Dems and Repugs. People don’t realize we are not a 2 party system and never have been, but only two parties are well known by everyone. So there is a lot of shades of gray, even within a given party, but way too many people only see black and white, such as yourself.

Eventually, the Federalist Party did decline, but without doing more research for the exact time Democratic Republicans became Republicans, I don’t know when that happen or when even the Whigs died out.

Theres no grey here. Just black being called white and visa versa. Rinsed and repeated

You have no clue about politics do you? Currently, the Repug party is divided and there were two different Repugs, but they have no split apart as of yet. Whether they do are not we don’t know yet, but there are shades of grey. You just don’t want to see it.

Every republican denounced the raid . All fell into line when called for

Not all. There were some who did not, such as Liz.

Really not worth responding to this guy

“10 House Republicans voted to impeach Trump. Cheney’s loss means only 2 made it past their primaries. - POLITICO” 10 House Republicans voted to impeach Trump. Cheney's loss means only 2 made it past their primaries. - POLITICO

Like all the nut-jobs jumping on the trump-wagon, and emulating his insanity as much as possible hoping to get noticed by him?

It wouldn’t be right not to include this:

Watch what Cheney told supporters after losing Wyoming GOP primary

Although I’d have thought Switzerland is probably the world oldest democracy - then the nitpicking starts - and I did learn that part of history directly from the Swiss, and they are quite proud of it.

I know you wouldnt mind a President Cheney, either as a Republican or Democrat. Thats clear to me.

How do you know that?

For the single reason that he thinks she is anti trump and thats all that it takes for some people

I find it hard to believe you think she is pro Trump. She was at one time, but she tells you early in the speech, the moment she changed her mind

Her voting record paints the picture and tells us what she really stands for. Dont believe the wolf in sheeps clothing with a few words you might agree with

What’s your point with your dog chasing tail commentary?
Why are you blind to trump’s graft and vandalism and narcissism?

It’s alway been about the grift.

That’s just not convincing michael. You’re making assumptions about her thoughts that don’t match her actions. What’s her next move? How does she get back to being on the Trump team?

She wont. She gambled that Republican party would turn away from trump and she lost. Big time . Now that the right have rejected her, her only space in the political sense is with the fake left that are willing to give her a go.

cc responded but not in disagreement with my assessment of him
