Prediction: Pelosi won't run again

Nancy Pelosi won’t run again, and not because of her age. She has just finished presiding over the destruction of the Democratic Party.

Pelosi and the Dems were ready to crown Her Royal Clintoness but the deplorables did the unthinkable, they elected Trump. From the moment that the most hated woman in the USA was denied her ordained position, the Dems have been out for revenge. Pelosi is no fool. She was against letting that pathetic woman expose herself in the Kavanaugh hearings. She and the Dems knew there would be no corroboration of Ford’s claims. The attempted smear failed.

Pelosi almost certainly knew that the Dems had commissioned and paid for the fake dossier used to start the Mueller investigation. She said several times that she thought impeachment was not a good idea, but finally caved in to the radical left in her party even though she was against it.

The lawyers advising her also almost certainly told her the only result from impeachment would be to satisfy their base’s need for revenge. She knew impeachment would fail in the Senate, so she and the Dems let their members rail against Trump in one of the most obvious hate campaigns ever.

Back in our grandparents’ and great-grandparents’ day the Democratic Party was a great thing. In he 60’s, Kennedy and LBJ elevated political correctness and socialism to favored status in the Dem party. The coalition of communists, socialists, atheists and LGBTQ’s found a place and a voice.

Agin, Pelosi is no fool. She knows that socialism is just communism lite, and just like lite beer is still beer, socialism is still communism. She surely can see that the Dem’s constant call for a popular vote is an attempt to overthrow the Constitution and our representative way of government. Pelosi has to know what socialism did for the USSR, China and Cuba. China was dying until it embraced capitalism. She wouldn’t be able to support a socialist Dem party.

I expect that as she reflects on the past three years, Pelosi will recognize her role in bringing down her party. The attempted Kavanaugh smear, the unworthy Mueller investigation, the “accidental” “mistakes” by the deep state operatives in the FBI and the non-impeachment impeachment have already backfired.

We have not one good candidate to oppose Trump. Elizabeth Warren is working hard to replace Pelosi as the most hated woman in the USA. Pelosi, if she doesn’t recognize it already, soon will recognize that she has won that honor with HRC’s political demise. The other candidates just aren’t viable.

No, Nancy won’t run. She let the hate in the Democratic Party overwhelm her better instincts. It has eaten up the party from the inside and she knows the Dems will turn on her and blame her for everything. There is no place there for her.

What? They just impeached a man (if you can call him that) who is a criminal. There was no destruction of the democratic party. There was no hatred for the Democratic Party by Pelosi. The dotard obstructed justice. The 2 articles of impeachment that the House called for and voted on were warranted, because that is what happened. I’m not sure how anyone gets that democratic party is now goners when they did their job of upholding the Constitution when it had been violated by the dotard occupying the Big House. Something tells me you’re a dotard worshipping supporter, in which there is no reason for me continuing. It would just be a waste of words because most dotard supporters can’t face the reality of the matter, because if they did, they’d have to face that they voted for a criminal.

Bob, I’m not surprised you are also a conspiracy theorist. This is why I care about truth and science. Talking about telepathy is fun, but when can’t sort out facts of politics, millions of people suffer.

Watch and wait Mriana. Hate always consumes the hater. The Dems’ lust for revenge is their undoing.

Trump is an ass. So what? He is what they used to call an “all American boy”, brash, overly self-confident, crude, strictly and purposefully not politically correct, doesn’t give a damn what you or I or anyone else thinks, grabs life by the p…y and laughs about it, makes lesser men want to be like him and makes women realize we haven’t come that far from the days when they were property. Again, so what? We don’t crucify people for their personality. Who he is and what he is shouldn’t be the issue; what he has and hasn’t done while in office should be. So far all the fuss is about him, not what he has done.

Pelosi is a victim, not of Trump, but of those who cannot deal with the reality that the US voting public preferred him (or anyone?) to HRC. It is sad. Pelosi spent a good part of her life working for what she believed in. The tragedy is that she felt the need to get in bed with the radicals. As a confessed devout Catholic she cannot support their positions. I think history will not treat her well. Very sad.

Lausten, the “founders” we’ve heard so much about recently knew the public “can’t sort out facts of politics”. Every one of the founders including Washington, Jefferson, Hamilton and Adams wrote that the public is not fit to govern themselves. That is why we have a representative form of government. We do not entrust our lives and fortunes to the “great unwashed multitude” HRC called the deplorables because we know the founders were correct. We the people are still not fit to govern ourselves. The recent unpleasantness is what happens when leaders like Pelosi give in to the irrational will of the people.

Machiavelli told us that we should strike at the king only when we would kill him. The strike against Trump was done with no prospect of removing him from office. He will continue. We should expect repercussions.

Who he is and what he is shouldn’t be the issue; what he has and hasn’t done while in office should be. So far all the fuss is about him, not what he has done. -- Bob
Thank you for showing us your true colors. You seemed to have some knowledge of science over in the other discussion, but I saw definite limits there. Now I'm seeing that you are unable to simply read the news. You appear to be one of those people who say "read the transcript", but didn't read it yourself. I will be just skimming your posts for rules violations from now on.
We the people are still not fit to govern ourselves.
I thought this when I was in 7th grade, when I first took a civics class. Unfortunately, that level of understanding of history is what millions of people of vote currently have.

Bob, you meant the quintessential Ugly American!

Me First and nothing else exists within your mindscape, is that how it is?

So the corrupted prosecutor is the guy Trump loves. Actually that’s the guy Putin loves. Oh yeah, they’re on the same team

September 25 2019,

IT’S STRANGE TO see my journalism twisted, perverted, and turned into lies and poisonous propaganda by Donald Trump, Rudy Giuliani, and their enablers. But that’s what has happened to a news story I wrote four years ago.

In 2015, I wrote a story for the New York Times about Joe Biden, Hunter Biden, and Ukraine. Many observers now seem to think this suddenly hot story came out of nowhere this year, but that is not true.

The truth behind that story has been lost in a swamp of right-wing opposition research, White House lies, and bizarre follow-up stories. Now it appears that the Biden-Ukraine story will play a role in a new impeachment inquiry against Trump, amid evidence that he sought to pressure Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky by withholding U.S. aid unless Zelensky agreed to investigate the Bidens. …

I’m not a big VOX fan, but even with a grain of salt, it’s the big picture that tells a very different story from what the Trump Delusional are painting.

Not that it matters, seems like the Democrats still haven't learned how to argue themselves out of a wet paper bag, so all bets are off.
Watch and wait Mriana. Hate always consumes the hater. The Dems’ lust for revenge is their undoing.
So truth and honest has nothing to do with nothing?

A new report suggests Trump may have committed financial crimes

ByPaul Waldman

Donald Trump labored for years to create an image as the embodiment of success (which also just happens to be the name of his cologne; you can get a bottle on Amazon for $19.49). For a time, that image was undercut by his eagerness to slap his name on any second-rate product he could find, whether it was ties or steaks or water.
But when he ran for president and journalists began looking deeper into his financial life, it became clear that Trump was in all probability the most corrupt major business figure in America.
Did he leave a string of jilted associates behind? Of course. Did he stiff small businesses? Indeed. Did he create scams such as Trump University that stole people’s life savings? You betcha. Did he run a fake “foundation”? Sure. Did he employ undocumented workers? Naturally. …

and there’s so much more . . .

gotta run

I started reading that, Bob, but frankly I couldn’t finish it. Right after the part about the “dems commissioned and paid for the fake dossier” I just couldn’t go on because I really like reality and you don’t.

That dossier wasn’t “commissioned” by democrats, it was taken over by Clinton’s team AFTER it was commissioned by Republican never Trumpers. And calling it “fake”, what evidence do you have for that? What in that dossier has ever been proven to be wrong? Nothing. Some of it has been proven to be true, the rest of it is unproven either way. Really I’m surprised you didn’t throw in the line about the “foreign spy” creating the dossier to try to boost the credibility of your claims with more shock language.

That dossier was called “opposition research” and EVERY candidate does it. Trump did it. What he got just wasn’t juicy and didn’t smell like pee. Not only is there no evidence, there is no reason to suspect that dossier was an attempt at any kind of “hit job”, nor is there any credible reason to suspect it is anything but legitimate opposition research filled with the facts as they were uncovered, with a margin for error. The man who compiled that dossier was an ex spy who spent his career spying on Russia. He was an expert at gathering information in Russia. It wasn’t just “Three Dudes Dossiers” opposition research company. Visit our one convenient location!..online…

Proclaiming it is “fake” is an outright lie. NOTHING in it has ever been proven false. Proclaiming it’s “all true” would also be a lie. Not everything in it has been proven true (though some of it has been proven true). But nobody actually makes that claim. It’s just the biased partisans who like to cry “Fake news!” every time they hear an inconvenient fact. The dossier is not “fake”. It is real opposition research. Neither is it unique in any way except in the depravity of what it uncovered, which may or may not be real information. But if you care to look up the facts you’ll find that the things the President’s team has denied about the dossier has changed over the years as some of the facts have come to light, proving things they had previously denied.

That’s all just facts. That’s not be interjecting what I believe into it, that’s just the facts. You can be on any side you like and I’ll happily talk to you, but ONLY if we stick to the facts.

I saw in the news today that Putin did a little ass kissing on the impeachment story. It’s so easy to play this president like a cheap kazoo I don’t know why everyone isn’t doing it. Hell, Democrats could turn him Democrat again if they just said nice things about him all the time. Once he’s all buttered up like a big, fat turkey you just say something less nice about whatever it is he’s doing that you don’t like. Not mean, just talk about how you’re disappointed in him. If that doesn’t work, make it a progressively more negative, with backhanded compliments thrown in, until he folds and does what you want so you’ll start saying nice things about him again. It really is just that easy to play this idiot. Democrats need to get over this whole “integrity” thing they got going on. It is a well known fact that reverse psychology works on 2 year olds and Trump, and there’s no chance Trump is ever going to figure it out. Use that.

@Bob, somehow I think the Repugs have more than enough hate for everyone and their minions are consumed with it. However, Thomas Jefferson had more class than the dotard and that’s really not saying much. However, for all his unsophisticated manners he never once betrayed the U.S. or U.S. citizens like the dotard has and that is an impeachable offense. The dotard did it right in front of our faces more than once and then he attempted to obstruct justice right in front of our faces by attempting to intimidate a witness as well as prevent witnesses from testifying. Thomas Jefferson didn’t abuse his powers, but the dotard has and quite frankly, George Washington would be rolling over in his grave right now, because he did not want the leader of this country to be treated like a king placed there by god. George Washington would have rolled over in his grave more than once concerning the dotard’s behaviour, as well as his cronies’ behaviours, and the treatment the dotard’s minions give him. The founding fathers of this country wrote the Declaration of Independence, as well as the Constitution with the first 10 Amendments (not Commandments), would have thrown the dotard out by now, because no god, be it a deist deity, an Xian deity, or natural forces place the dotard in office. It was the Electoral College that did that, against the people’s (popular vote) wishes. So much for a country by the people for the people and none of the founding fathers would have approve meddling into our election by any country, not even the Mother Country of this nation. And that, my dear, is what all the fuss is about, which has everything to do with the dotard’s actions.

Also, during that time of the founding fathers, many people were not educated, however, if most of the people were not fit to govern themselves then why “a government by the people for the people”? However, I think what you really mean is that men were fit to run the government, but women and slaves were not, however when it came to representatives, white women, who could not vote, much less go to college, counted as a whole person, but a slave, who also could not vote and uneducated, counted as 2/3’s of a person. Now that is some pretty ignorant stuff happening in our government back then, but yet you say our founding fathers believed most were unfit? I say, the founding fathers had a lot to learn about humans in order to rid themselves of their ignorance.

Bob, Bob… Bob. Bless your heart.

I agree with one thing you said (tho it is a single cherry so to speak) when you said “Trump is an ass…” I agree that he is an ass, among a good number of other pejorative labels.

I was thinking, when I read your adolescent fantasy of your idealized vision of T rump, I was thinking of a late '50’s early 60’s Movie with a roguish leading male role, his character being as you described in this excerpt of your post:

“all American boy”, brash, overly self-confident, crude, strictly and purposefully not politically correct, doesn’t give a damn what you or I or anyone else thinks, grabs life by the p…y and laughs about it, makes lesser men want to be like him and makes women realize we haven’t come that far from the days when they were property. Again, so what? We don’t crucify people for their personality.

I say that when you got to the point of saying “(He) makes lesser men want to be like him and makes women realize we haven’t come that far from the days when they were property.” That is when I should have thrown up to try to purge the filth that seems fundamentally integral to your perspective.

When you said “We don’t crucify people for their personality.” I thought Wow! What a concept. You are suggesting that T rump is in danger of cruxificion (sp?). That would be something to see, T rump hanging from a cross like Jesus (only he would be an opposite-Jesus character/personality wise.

Oh, and personally, I think T rump is a pussy.

Re: the Thread title topic

I think Nancy may well not run again, because she is old. And because it is time for the younger leaders to step forward. And because, right now, she has never been more popular. It would be nice to go out when you’re on top.

But she will not announce it even if she had decided so. That would make her a lame duck in the meanwhile. And, who knows? Maybe she will see the situation, at the time she must decide, such that she feels obligated to remain and try to deal with it.

So now, for reasons the pundits can’t figure, the articles of impeachment are withheld from the Senate. Seems that something happened to negate the rush to impeach. Maybe the realization that the circus has served to energize Trump’s base and put off the Dem center. Maybe Nancy is looking for a way for the Dems to back away from looking like extremists. Pelosi can’t be trying to control the process in the Senate. Surely she knows that won’t happen.

I think many don’t want to skip the primary, but don’t see anyone we can really support. I guess it will have to be Biden. We know he doesn’t stand a chance. It’s sad. Trump’s 2020 win will be bigger than 2016. Another Supreme Court justice. Another nail in the coffin.

It is obvious that Pelosi is doing whatever she can to try to get the Senate Trumpublicans off of their publicly announced game plan to abandon impartiality and to proceed in a completely partisan fashion with a short as possible and unfairly ruled trial. Moscow Mitch announced his full collusion with the defendant in coming up with how they will proceed. Lindsey Graham publicly announced he has no intention of being fair. It’s like having a gun to your head. You will try anything possible to avoid an immediate bullet to the brain, and hope for some saving intervention in the meantime.

We still don’t know who may rise to the top in the primaries. Whoever it winds up being will have a shot at winning a fair election, should we be fortunate enough to avoid Donald John T rump’s on-going efforts to undermine a fair election.

T rump, the orange 260 + lbs blob pussy bully of women, children, and dead heroes, is impeached. He so richly deserves being impeached. Even though he is safe from removal from office. He is a con man, who has conned 40% of the country into being his slavish fanatical supporters. One of the skills that he has developed in life, he has used in spades while POTUS - is his ability to skirt (iow, obstruct) the law.

Maybe the realization that the circus has served to energize Trump’s base and put off the Dem center.
Or, maybe she's doing it for the reasons she actually states. That you can't address those, other than to say "that can't be it", shows that you have no fundamental trust. Without that, this gridlock will continue, and rich people will profit off of you by it.
So now, for reasons the pundits can’t figure, the articles of impeachment are withheld from the Senate.
Where are you getting your news? Most headlines I've seen say exactly why they aren't passing along the articles of impeachment yet without even having to read the article. Moscow Mitch outright proclaimed that his oaths and duties meant nothing to him, that he would not be an impartial juror as required by the Constitution and that he would be coordinating the prosecution with the accused. And why they're holding up the articles is some big mystery to you?

Lausten: “I will be just skimming your posts for rules violations from now on.”

Now I’m scared. Do I hear jackboots on the stairs? Seig Hiel, oberfuhrer.
