Perhaps some haven’t noticed that Pelosi doesn’t run the Senate.

I have noticed that Moscow Mitch runs the Senate in an ABSOLUTE partisan fashion. I have noticed that nothing matters to Moscow Mitch as much as getting and retaining power. The nation, the Constitution, integrity, morality, truth, are all secondary to that for Mitch.
Pelosi controls the House. She can send the Impeachment papers to the Senate when she damn well pleases. Oh no, is she breaking some sort of precedent by not sending them immediately? Oh no! How could a politician break precedents in times like these? Oh wait, isn’t that one of the things that Trumpians admire so about their roguish demigod? That he bores full steam ahead without regard for and right thru precedent and politics as usual?
It appears to me that a large part of the Whitehouse staff have been complicit in T rump’s attempted and in some sense successful plot to spread Russian initiated anti-Dem and anti-Biden BS conspiracy. And thus complicit also in the withholding of military funding to Ukraine for months, while during those months, Ukranians were dying to protect themselves from Russia. The WhiteHouse staff may also be complicit in the cover up that has limited investigations.
If Truth and Fairness held sway in America today, T rump and most of his staff would be removed from office. And since that would likely include Pence, that means our POTUS now would be Nancy Pelosi. (Yes, if the POTUS goes, the Vice POTUS becomes POTUS. If both of those guys are gone, then the Speaker of the House becomes POTUS.) This could explain some of the motivation of the Trumpublicans and Republicans that may be left, being in absolute lock step with the disgusting creature T rump. They would support Satan himself with all their hearts, if it meant keeping Nancy Pelosi from being POTUS.
Bob, are you happy about T rump abusing the power of the Presidency for his personal benefit (in particular to give himself an advantage in the next election)? Do you admire that? If so, you admire corruption that can and well may fundamentally undermine our form of govt.
Good question Tim. They are saying it’s okay for a Pres to ignore the will of the people. I have heard no good reason for his actions.
Ignoring the will of the people is the least of T rump’s faults.
T rump has said flat out that he can do whatever he wants. I believe he was citing the Constitution when he said so. Unfortunately that is being actualized. He cannot be investigated or charged with any crime by the Department of (In)Justice, as that has become his weaponized legal team for protecting him and going against his enemies. He cannot be investigated effectively by the House of Representatives, as he just flat out refuses to allow anyone in his admin to testify and refuses to give over any documents. (Iow, he can obstruct Congress at will.) If he is somehow impeached anyway, as he is now, he cannot be punished because he controls the Senate.
He is a con man who has skirted the law his entire life. With the power of the Presidency, that he has expanded, he is now effectively ABOVE THE LAW, no matter how many times we aspirationally say he is not. He is now impeached for bribing a foreign power to investigate a political rival by withholding desperately needed military aid that was provided by Congress. He has the poor character to continue this sort of thing, as soon as he can crow about being totally exonerated when his Senate Trumpublicans save his ass. And there will be no checks and balances left to stop him.

New documents show President Donald Trump asked about U.S. military aid to Ukraine a month before the call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy that went on to trigger the impeachment investigation into Trump.
The heavily-redacted documents, obtained under a Freedom of Information request by the Center for Public Integrity, also show that administration officials ordered a hold on the aid about an hour after the leaders’ call on July 25.
It is very unlikely that the Trumpublicans in the Senate will allow this or any other evidence (that shows T rump’s guilt) to be presented at the Impeachment trial.
They say that the House should have done a better job at compiling the evidence. They should have waited for months for cases about complying to subpoena’s went thru the entire court system and was decided upon by the Supreme Court.
Assuming that the Supreme Court (5-4 Conservative) is not as corrupt and Trumpublican as the Senate, waiting months for their decision, would have put us on the doorstep of the next election. So it was not really an option.
T rump is a lying, corrupt, criminal piece of shite. Under his administration, truth, justice, fairness, are no longer valued.
What is valued by Trumpians is pettiness, bullying, vindictiveness, lies, propaganda, dirty tricks, cheating, whining and projecting one’s own faults onto one’s opponents, dividing the US into two distinct intensely partisan camps, and everything that T rump wants when he wants it. Those are the values of the Trumpians. Morality? No. T rump, hence his followers, also, could care less about what is moral.
