I have always loved animation so I watch the occasional kids movie. Just saw Orion and the Dark on Netflix. It uses a kid’s fear of the dark to explore some pretty profound human psychology, even making a reference to David Foster Wallace.

If you are following the thread with inthedarkness, the fears expressed by Orion in the opening are basically the same as the “psychology of people who have no friends” video. To overcome his fear he befriends the darkness. Darkness has his own fears and showing his vulnerability is part of the healing too.
