As I am writing, global markets are in a freefall, the American dollar is failing, and blood on the bourse. There will be huge consequences. The dollar fails. The Israeli and Ukrainian economy crashes. The masses all over, driven beyond endurance, rise in waves piling up their dead from Nigeria to Bangladesh as the first wave Inflation turns to deflation, then hyperinflation.
Lausten, I’m trying to figure out which thread of thoughts he’s supposedly referring too, it certainly has nothing to do with this particular “thread” (board).
So, is all of this Biden and Harris’s fault? I ask because that’s what your words imply.
Yeah, the world is in a lot of hurt, and you’re missing the worst of it, not that these atrocities you list aren’t plenty hideous enough, but babe we ain’t seen nothing yet.
That’s why I’m a bit more focused on the SELF trying to help some other humans better appreciate a saner understanding of themselves and their short time on this planet. You know those supposedly unanswerable question about the meaning of life and self and so on.
Running around in a panic as though we individuals can fix these monster problems & self-created atrocities that you’ve listed. When we can’t even manage the civility to believe in Fair Play or fair elections anymore. Facts have turned into targets to deride and dismiss, even when they slam us in our faces.
That’s also why, while there still are elections, I’ll still get involved, because today is all we really have and you might as well act with hope, the future is unknown, the rate of our self destruction depends on a lot of things, mostly outside of the economic engine’s controls. Black Swans will be calling the shots. And if it’s one thing a study of Earth’s global heat and moisture distribution engine makes absolutely clear, Black Swans are heading our way.
And given the nature of the problem, well it is a trajectory that’s only going in one direction.
But isn’t that how our individual lives are, we don’t have any guarantees, sometimes we dance with disaster and always life is like dancing on a knife edge, in the end we die. There is strength to be found within that sort of thinking.
To have compassion is good, but it has to come with guardrails, or to put it more poetically, To accept the things I cannot change; Courage to change the things I can; And wisdom to know the difference.

Actually, more people have been hired by companies and the economy isn’t as bad as people think it is. Prices might still be rising, but they aren’t rising as fast as they were. The GDP is better than under the dotard.
