Hi Everyone,
Greetings from Buffalo, NY, the land of sunshine and championship-caliber sports teams. I’m a 39-year-old college instructor who enjoys teaching psychology-related courses and spending time with family and friends. Science is great, and I absolutely love helping undergrads get excited about learning, curious about the many different ways we study human beings, and how gratifying it can be to use well-designed, validated scientific findings to help other people.
I’ve been aware of the CFI for several years now, and even attended some events, but I’ve never quite made time to get involved. Now, with our current political climate, I’m searching for ways to make my voice heard, to connect with like-minded individuals, and to still have time for a life. There’s something really compelling about cultivating a sense of community among us that embrace a secular, rational, open-minded and yet skeptical view of the world. Maybe this organization can help do that? I surely hope so!
