How are the family gatherings going?
I listened to my brother-in-law’s ramblings for a while last night. The usual making up facts and data that changes mid-sentence. I asked him how he feels about supporting the guy that Putin, Assad and the KKK support. He tried to avoid it, tried to say Obama started the war in Syria, etc. I told him that the things he was saying were the opposite of what Trump actually said, that he voted against his own interests. Talking to a wall.
I can empathize. My family goes off on Democrats for every imagined slight, then turns around and hopes Congress doesn’t take away their medical insurance and social security. I feel like shouting, “Then why the hell do you keep voting for Republicans?” but they’d just mumble about Benghazi, emails, and Hillary’s lies. I notice not one conservative has spoken out against restarting the nuclear arms race.
