Perhaps the divorce is a result of internal disagreements? The news of the divorce came out shortly after Bill Gates refused to share Covid 19 vaccine tech with developing countries like India. And Melinda (not Bill) admitted they “hadn’t really thought through the economic impacts” of lockdowns.
There is social media speculation that the divorce might not be quite what it seems, though. If it follows the Bezos divorce model, it could be more a tactical matter of splitting the $150-billion fortune to protect it from Biden’s capital gains tax? The two richest women in the world (Bezos and Gates divorcees) will have reached that status by divorce.
The Gates announce that post-divorce, they’ll still run their Foundation together, so there’s no reason to believe the divorce portends substantial change.
Who knows, perhaps Melinda might separate from some of Bill’s more awkward moments and build her quasi-feminist cover. Africans remember her “women and girls” white person’s burden schtick, some of it not politically correct in today’s terms, after she “fell in love with Africa” during the 1990s after a trip with Bill.

You’re probably right about the tax situation. No way in hell could anyone love Bill or Melinda except maybe themselves. Very typically, the Gates foundation is in bed with G7, and Melinda is supposedly there to discuss a subject she knows nothing about. Total clown world. ?

I haven’t read anything about it because 1. Not interested and 2. I feel it’s none of our business 3. it’s sensationalism 4. the public was probably part of what caused the break up I probably will continue to not read anything about it, because I really don’t think it’s necessary.
Plenty of things happen to famous people that don’t get publicized. This did because they probably made a public announcement. They knew it would go public and therefore be part of public discussion. Where it goes off the rails is when people treat it more than just a mildly interesting aside. Like the tax thing. Seriously, they’re some of the richest people in the world. Do you think they really care about a couple 10’s of millions of bucks in taxes. Doubtful.
And we don’t care about their lives. Even my husband was like, “This is news?” and he didn’t care about their marriage. No one cares, unless they are nosey fanboys and groupies, who have nothing better to do with their lives. I really feel we have better things to discuss- like the future of mRNA vaccines, COVID booster shots, and other scientific things. This is not one of them unless we want to discuss the contributions they made to one of the vaccines. Dolly and her contributions to Moderna is more interesting, IMO.

But you dont. In particular no discussion on this site about gates unwilligness to pressure drug companies in reliquishing their IPRs and technology share to others for the mass production of vaccines. Every person has a human right to access these vaccines.

Normally I would agree. In this case however, where powerful people attempt to shape public policy, any info that can be used against them is a good thing.

The Gates Foundation relationship with G7 is the most immediate example.
He wants to kill 10% of the world wide population using his fake vaccines (Ted talks). One might add Hitler followed a parallel path by attempting to exterminate the Jews.
