A deeper understanding and appreciation for this planet, its biosphere, its geophysical processes and its deep time history, which among many other things is the story of how Earth created and sustains us humans.
An explicit awareness that our Gods are the product of our human mind/imagination. Religions and faith are good things, but they belong to the realm of our mind/imagination and not of the physical world of physics, biology and complex systems.
Explicitly understanding that a woman has sovereignty over her own body, and that she has the right to self-defense and the defense of her existing family. Along with the historically obvious, when push comes to shove, in the final analysis: A woman’s life IS more important than the life of her fetus, tragic though it is, part of the cycle of life.
Bring back respect for honesty and good faith debates, respect for serious science. Critical thinking & curiosity & sense of humanity, being a part of something bigger than me.
