Dear White People...

DEAR WHITE PEOPLE: IF YOU HAVE EVER SAID ANY OF THESE THINGS THEN YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM

Ironically, I haven’t said any of them, but I’ve seen at least a couple members who has posted at least one of the 10 things listed. Follow the link below to read what I’m talking about and then discuss.

A lot of Koreans, Chinese, Latinos, Arabs, Jews, and everybody else besides whites have said all these things. They are the drivers of the US economy and that’s why they say these things. And they are not the problem.

@sree Dear white people that’s why you’re part of the problem. You don’t want to get it. Just push it all on others and not accept any blame for what is and has happened.

@mriana

What’s the problem bothering you? There is no problem bothering me. All the problems out there bothering other people are seen on my TVs and voiced by you folks in this forum. It’s the same deal all over the world - problems of one kind or another pitching one group of people against another. I am glad I was born way after WW2. Like a doctor, I like talking to you about the problem bothering you but I want no part of it.

No, you denied you were part of the problem and passed it off to others as being the problem. If you read carefully, it didn’t say, “you are the problem”. It said, “you are part of the problem”. In other words, your reading comprehension is lacking. Reading comprehension has always bothered me and with the second post in this thread, you are still denying you are part of the problem, which is a problem. Any time one denies being part of the problem, by shoving it onto others, makes them part of the problem.

Ok. Please explain to me:
  1. What is the problem?

  2. Why am I a part of it?

@sree The problem was spelled out in the article if you had bothered to read it, as well as why you are part of it.

Dear White People,

All Black Lives Matter.

To every season there is a purpose.

It is now the time to be anti-racist.

C’mon, white people, you can do it. You have the power.

It’d a bit odd that you can make articles that generalize to all white people but you can’t put out generalizations to all other races. It goes with the same logic that you can have a movie called “White Men Can’t Jump” but you certainly cannot have a movie called “Black Men Can Jump”.

Just to be fair about this, have you found anything that says “Dear Black People…”?

@mitch70

"Dear Black People..." would be considered racist.

White is not a race or a culture. There is no common history for all whites. It’s a skin color that gives you advantages in some countries, especially America.

Dear Black People,

Keep up the good fight. Keep the dream alive. Some of us white people are with you. Justice for ALL! We shall overcome, someday.

Why would fight be your choice of words? The stereotype of black people is that they use aggression and violence to get what they want.

If you’re going in that direction then there is no race (and PLEASE don’t pat your own back on that one).

@sree so long as it’s against caucasians it’s not racist. Take any of these anti-caucasian statements I’ve read and reverse it to another race (even dare yourself to change it to black people).

”What good has white people done for the world?” (A few things but racist people who hate white people don’t care about this)

“White people have owned slaves for decades” (um yeas but black people have owned slaves LONG before the white man and not just for decades for centuries. The horror of it all is that African countries to this day has a serious problem with slavery)

I’ve seen the horrors of what black people have done lately in the “protests” of social justice (Can you really say “Social Justice” and not hear the words “MOB RULE)?

All I see is liberals hating white people. Can any liberal at least give me a reason why?

@mriana You have a lot of hatred in your heart against white people. I just can’t figure out why.

Ex, please take one item from the list and explain how it indicates hate.

From the “Dear White people” post:

These riots are happening because you have left black people no other choice.
What absolute B. S.

Generalizations toward both white and black people. A group of police officers didn’t use a choke hold on a person resisting arrest. Nor did a group of police officers shoot a suspect fleeing arrest. A group of people didn’t set fires and steal others’ property. Individuals, white and black, did those things. I didn’t do any of those things and yet you blame me.

Do you find me racist because I believe that the protesters know perfectly well that protesting after dark gives cover to the bad actors who want to burn and loot? We all know there are only few of these bad guys and women and they wouldn’t do the criminal acts unless they could hide in the crowd.

These riots are happening because you have chosen to blame others for the consequences of your actions.

This is the trick of a peaceful world that you have accepted. Because you feel safe, you feel that law and order are working. But they don’t work for everybody, so there is no justice really. You feel safe because they leave you alone when you go 10 miles over the speed limit or someone gives you a counterfeit bill. They trust you and let you off easy. But they can do that because someone else is being underpaid, underserved, underprotected, exploited. You get the benefit of their labor because you are not bothering the system with how they are doing all of this.

Once we start to ask for equality for all, which is the actual meaning of equality, then all of us will feel some of the pain. That is what you are resisting right now. You are resisting some discomfort so others can simply breathe and get the freedoms you already have. But when we all are doing better, then we will all benefit, so suck it up buttercup.

@mitch

I will say what I said to you in the PM I sent you- I didn’t ban you. Secondly, I don’t know how you get that I hate white people just because the threads are currently about current events I’m a mother of two grown sons who are 1/2 black and support BLM. That doesn’t equate to hating white people. My current husband is white.
