(BTW, voters in the Democratic primaries, yesterday seem to have gotten the message, as Sanders scored a sweep, crushing Hillary in Alaska, Washington, and Hawaii, getting 83%, 73%, and 70% of the vote in those states.)
Bernie suggested that the bird was a dove symbolizing a message of peace. But it was a finch. The finch does not symbolize peace, per se, but rather, some by-products of peace and freedom - joy, optimism, high energy, simplicity, that sort of thing.
