A sore loser

There is only one thing people dislike more than a sore loser: a sore winner.

We have a rule in this country that when you have won a fight you don’t stomp the loser once he has lost the fight. Your liability for attacking one who is not a threat begins where your protection for self defense ends.

The Dems have won; Trump has lost. It is time for Trump to quit acting like a sore loser and it is time for the Dems to quit acting like a sore winner.

it does look like Trump and gang left some bleeding wounds behind that need to be treated with disinfectant regardless of “time of day”.

Those who offer the hand of reconciliation first will be remembered more favorably. Those who refuse that hand will be remembered more unfavorably.

If you are referring to President Elect Biden agreeing that trump shouldn’t attend the inauguration, maybe some of that is based on concerns for security and safety. Imagine all the MAGAts that would be there if trump showed his face.

He should have a rally at Mar-a-Lago and get all the vermin to gather down there.

If you’re referring to the Dems threatening another impeachment - that has nothing to do with winning or losing. It has to do with him inciting violence.

But I do agree that they have to be careful and not turn him into a martyr for the cult.

@#339457

You’re joking Democrats and our nation’s government is under physical attack.

Mitch McConnell leader of the Republicans handles his gavel like a totalitarian.

Trump and his cult are a clear and present danger to civil law and order and to our United States of America, as established by the Constitution.

Our government has an obligation to act on behalf of We the People to protect itself, so it can continue governing in a sane, civil manner as the Constitution sets out.

Trump lost, there was no voter fraud.

Even more important Trump has committed dozens of crimes again law and order; his Oath of Office; the people’s safety and well-being; and the American legal code.

But, it’s beyond that. Trump has made it clear that We The People are his enemy!!! That makes him a dangerous man, that must taken down for the safety of all. It’s what the fudge law and order is all about.

The man has gone way the hell Beyond The Pale, and must be hammered or the lawlessness will only continue and civil breakdowns will be irreparable.

His supporters keep ignoring such fundamental reality.

Oh but then think about who his supports are, they showed their colors in Washington DC, on the hill.

Look at his MAGA mob, vandalizing like pissed off lowlife drunks, and to underscore their contempt for all things American, (such as civility - fair play - respect for our constitution and government, rule of law), the mob was so dehumanized by Trump the man, that they defecated and spread feces throughout the capital building like a pack of rabid dogs.

The biggest joke, is that I hear many believed the president trump was with them because of the words he used in his speech.

It’s like, how much does a con-artist need to betray you before you wake up?

Trump said he would walk with protesters to the Capitol, but drove off in his motorcade before the march devolved into a violent attack

https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-promised-join-capitol-march-but-slipped-away-by-car-2021-1

trump: “Now it is up to Congress to confront this egregious assault on our democracy, and after this, we’re going to walk down — and I’ll be there with you — we’re going to walk down … to the Capitol and we’re going to cheer on our brave senators and congressmen and women.”

Oh and there is this to think about. Remember the reality host who became president.

The fantasy-industrial complex gave us the Capitol Hill insurrection This is America’s brain on misinformation.

We’d better stand up to them, because they want to totally demolish us.

If you’re referring to the Dems threatening another impeachment – that has nothing to do with winning or losing.
Of course it is the only thing that another impeachment is about. Pelosi wants desperately to ensure that Trump won't be able to run again in 2024. She knows that if Trump does run, he will win. Biden will be a one-term president in any case and the Dems won't have anyone to put up.

Everyone knows that the impeachment effort will fail in the Senate, so why is she doing it? The correct answer is pure politics, just like the first effort, and nothing else other than the same old quest for revenge.

Time for everyone on both sides to let it go and move on. It’s either that or continue a war that neither side can win.

The only person who has exercised revenge on other people in the past 4 years is Trump. How can you be so ill informed to refuse the fact that Trump is, was, and always shall be a thug who destroys everything he touches in order to satisfy his clinical narcissism.

This man is impeached because he is a danger to to the Nation and to everyone who indulges his irrational and criminal whims. Get that through your head!

It’s time for a big old fashioned American group hug.

The Morning Joe panel continues its discussion on potential federal criminal statutes that may apply to the U.S. Capitol attacks with former FBI assistant director for counterintelligence and MSNBC national security analyst Frank Figliuzzi. Aired on 01/12/2021.

Morning Joe I can do without, but what Frank Figliuzzi has to say, that’s worth hearing.

Especially by the sore loser who have abandoned American in favor of worshipping a cult figure and eating lie after lie, right out of the sweaty greasy filthy palm of his hand, and become seditionists who want to destroy our government - even though they don’t seem have a clue about what they want, except to complain and find blame (and to fabricate an enemy out of) everyone else.

se·di·tion 1. Conduct or language inciting rebellion against the authority of a state. 2. Archaic Insurrection; rebellion.

As far as I understand, What happened last week was prepared by coordinated groups, who decided to attack the Capitol. they were incited and called to do that by a man who is still President of the United States for a few days.

One can talk around to decide if this was a coup d’Etat, a putsch, a sedition, but it was a premeditated act of violence against the institutions, to prevent the registration of an election which had been regular.

If the people who provoked and organized this event are not punished, it would mean that one can repeat the fact without to much risks in the future.

M Trump is the main guilty one for having pretended that the election was rigged and for having used any means, including illegal ones, to prevent M. Biden to take his legitimate seat.

Yes, the only effect of impeachment would be to prevent him to run again, and yes, its adoption will be difficult. But it semas to me that this should be the first punishment he gets.

Now, him and his supporters need to be taught reality !

If it’s to prevent him from running again, and everyone knows the trial will fail in the senate, then what will a second impeachment accomplish that the first didn’t?

Isn’t the purpose of the House submitting articles of impeachment to call out illegal acts by the president? Then it’s up to the Senate to make the decision to find guilty and remove from office.

There is also a clause that if someone is found guilty of treason or sedition or other acts against the gov’t that they cannot run for office. So the FBI, AG, whoever - can still bring charges against trump, and if found guilty, he will be prevented from running. It doesn’t have to come only from a guilty verdict on the articles of impeachment.

But it would be another wonderful mark the administration of the greatest president ever … at least since Abraham Lincoln!

Maybe he’s worthy of a moniker such as The Infamous DJT

Words worth repeating.

don't know why i respond to bob, but anyway

Saying that an attempt to impeach, knowing it will be voted down is “pure politics” is straight out of opposite world. Impeachment is a political process, not a legal one, so it’s always political. That means each of us gets to understand the situation and decide if it meets a legal or moral bar. The number of votes are inconsequential to that personal judgment.

Everyone knows that the impeachment effort will fail in the Senate
Hmmm, that used to be true, but apparently, not so much anymore. We shall see, one would hope some would wake up.

{Curiously, I just had to reminder of the US and Saddam Hussein relationship. Certainly some similarities, placing him in power, supporting him, protecting him, but the minute the dog bit its master’s hand, that was one stunt too many, and the rest is history as they say.}. We shall see.

IUS. Senate's Mitch McConnell believes Donald Trump committed impeachable offenses — report Mitch McConnell is reportedly pleased by the Democratic effort to impeach Trump. It comes as Republicans say they would vote in favor of impeachment.

www _dw _ com/en/us-senates-mitch-mcconnell-believes-donald-trump-committed-impeachable-offenses-report/a-56208042

US Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell is pleased about the Democratic effort to impeach outgoing President Donald Trump, believing it will make it easier to purge him from the party, The New York Times reported on Tuesday.

McConnell told associates that he believes Trump committed impeachable offenses, sources close to him told the US newspaper.

Trump faces a second impeachment in the US House of Representatives over his alleged role in inciting his supporters to storm the Capitol building last week in a mob attack to overturn the results of the presidential election.

The violence by pro-Trump groups on January 6 left five people dead and sent lawmakers gathered to certify the election results into hiding.

Trump has refused to take responsibility for encouraging his supporters and said his remarks at a rally preceding the storming of the building were “totally appropriate.”

Wyoming's Representative Liz Cheney, House Republican Conference chair, also issued a statement on Tuesday saying she will vote in favor of the impeachment.

“There has never been a greater betrayal by a President of the United States of his office and his oath to the constitution,” said the number three Republican in the House.

Impeachment is a political process, not a legal one, so it’s always political.
The Dems are trying to set a precedent for the party in control of the House to impeach a President from the other party if he or she is especially popular in his own party in order to prevent him or her from gaining a second term. They should remember that the Dems do not always control the House. What goes around comes around.

Based on your agreement that it is political rather than a legal matter, in the future, as today, it won’t matter whether there is any legal basis for charges. According to your logic, if the Republicans get control of both houses in 2022, Biden should expect impeachment and of course Harris too if she follows him and of course Pelosi if she follows Harris into the White House.

And if the impeachment process is allowed to follow into the period after the President leaves office, then the Repubs could go back and impeach Clinton again and Obama too. It could be that any Congress could impeach any former President once a month for as long as one party controls both houses. I wonder if a former President would have to be alive in order to be impeached.

Does an impeached President lose his retirement package, the library funding and Secret Service protection? If so, we could save the taxpayers a bundle by impeaching every former President and VP. Maybe we should extend impeachment to all out of office politicians. That would be fun; a sort of round about way of enforcing term limits.

Bob how can you ignore the trump’s criminality?

You think what happened in Washington DC is okay???

“There’s a whiff of fascism to that, I think.”

The difference between Democrats and Republican election strategies is that when the Democrats lose they kick themselves for losing, but when the Republicans lose they kick the Democrats for winning. Neat huh…

‘Cause those damn lib’rals are bustin’ down those voter suppression laws…
