They pushed too far with such a lie and that is why the New York Times and Reuters then made up the term "White Hispanic." CNN falsely claimed Zimmerman used a racial slur. NBC edited his 911 call to make it sound as if Zimmerman were racially profiling Martin. NPR and TalkLeft showed a photo that was blurred and in black & white that hid the severity of the damage done to Zimmerman's face clearly visible in the original color photo. ABC came right out and falsely claimed video taken that night showed no blood or bruises on George Zimmerman. Lies, lies and more lies. They feel no shame in such lies because truth and journalistic integrity mean nothing to them. The "white racism" narrative is all that matters. They make it sound as if the number one danger to young Black men is roaming bands of racist white (or "White Hispanic) neighborhood watch volunteers. If they had any decency they'd address some of the biggest dangers facing young Black men. But that would encroach on sacred cows of the left. And they'd rather have young Black men shooting each other than touch on those issues.

As an African-American, I've had to watch, first-hand, as many of my family and friends have grown more and more angry about this case, and it started long before we even knew all of the facts! I watched as media professionals cherry-picked details and told half truths to support that narrative. I tried, repeatedly, to persuade people to calm down and wait until all of the details came out instead of basing one's judgment on random soundbites. But lone skeptics are no match for mass media, and it's shameful ability to control the narrative on a nearly global scale. It's absolutely disgusting, as it plays on the racial biases, fears, and over-inflated "victim" mentality that is highly pervasive in our culture. What people don't realize is that this actually serves to indirectly perpetuate some of the problems that my people suffer from, as it removes all personal responsibility from the African American community, and turns every negative experience into just another losing battle against the all-powerful "Man" who is determined to "keep me down". My wife, a white woman, works with many African Americans, and has had to keep her mouth shut whenever one of her friends brings the case up, as she knows very well that any dissenting perspective that doesn't support the narrative that there is some secret racist conspiracy in the legal system would automatically brand her as an enemy and "closet racist" (despite the fact that her husband is black and she has two bi-racial children).

Yes, I know Trayvon's Father played a roll in his upbringing, but I'm talking overall. Do we know if Trayvon was tested for that in his system?I don't know. I do know it is not like the movies of TV where they easily find whatever substance helps the plot that they didn't even think to look for! :-) From my very limited understanding, I think coroners have to purposely look for whatever substance they pre-determine to test for. If a substance isn't searched for specifically, I don't think it shows up on some test. Thus, if they are looking for substance "A" but only substance "B" is in the body, they don't find "A" or "B." THC was in his system. Other than that, I don't know.
The economy will be experiencing inflationary recession over the next several years and may even slip into a recession. If that happens we might just be seeing the tip of the iceberg on crime. The cities will not be able to afford these high level court cases. Somehow I get the feeling that a lot of what the press is doing right now is politically driven to get the heat off the IRS, DOJ, FBI, CIA and NSA.
What happened in the Zimmerman shooting should not have happened if we would spend the money for a good education system and could educate our people. Oh, wait we do.

If one of your loved ones was killed by a person of a different race, would you be calling for something to be done about black on black crime? The point is that most black murders are committed by blacks, not half-white, half-Peruvian neighborhood watchmen. Why is there not some massive media led conspiracy being pushed on this idea? And what about the fact that more blacks get off for stand your ground cases in Florida than whites? Maybe there's a black conspiracy against whites?
I'm appalled and nauseated by the verdict in that Florida case. Much of our country's population is still a very long way from understanding that they should respect all humans equally and work hard to prevent vicious prejudiced attacks such as this against anyone. Even the prosecutors have that stupid Florida mentality. How the hell could they have allowed the jury chosen to be composed of six caucasian women? A jury of only six is already dumb, but how about having some of Travon's peers on it, too? All I can hope is that there are enough people in his area who realize this injustice and react to him strongly negatively so that he will have a significantly degraded life for many years. As far as having some of "Travon's peers on the jury" then I am afraid that any one in this thread who has posited that prospective jurors should be subject to an "IQ test"...would have to abandon that premise as well. As far as "a significantly degraded life" in the future I think that any sane human being who has taken the life of another (whether justified or not) will find dealing with the aftermath for the remainder of their life difficult.
