And that should be immediately implemented?? This dude I never heard of is the final word?
Read what he said. It was a suggestion for consideration. He did not claim any chance of success. Yet you pick it up as if it is the best possible solution to end a war.
Just give in and the war will be over.
How would you like it if I came to your house, killed your dog and cat and a child and then tell you that if you give me your house I’ll stop killing your family.
What’s you gonna do?
Will you admit that it is a good idea, or try to stop me from taking everything you’ve got?
He is THE CHIEF. Holds a powerful position within NATO

It was a personal suggestion and not an official declaration by all the members of NATO …difference.
Not personal when you are wearing the stripes

Well here is the proof of his lack of official authority to make such a suggestion.
Secretary general’s chief of staff says statement was ‘mistake’ and part of wider discussion – but does not completely rule out idea
At a panel event in Norway on Tuesday, Jenssen had said that while any peace deal reached would have to be acceptable to Ukraine, alliance members were discussing how the 18-month war might be brought to an end.
“I think that a solution could be for Ukraine to give up territory and get Nato membership in return,” Jenssen told his audience, noting that discussions about Ukraine’s postwar status were continuing in diplomatic circles.
A day later, he gave an interview to the same newspaper, VG, that had reported on his original comments. “My statement about this was part of a larger discussion about possible future scenarios in Ukraine, and I shouldn’t have said it that way. It was a mistake,” he said.
He doesnt live in a vacuum and simply woke up one day with this thought in his head. This was discussed and thrown around headquarters

When a country gets into a war that they think they can win quickly, but then finds a strong resistance, one that requires many skirmishes, not just bombing runs, and it becomes a war that might be unwinnable, that’s a quagmire.
You’ve shown me two things there. One, you think others are getting emotional, but it’s actually you. Even if someone does get angry, they are sitting at their keyboard, they can’t hurt you anyway. You can report angry language and inappropriate remarks to the mods. Otherwise, let it go, it’s just typing, you can’t get physically harmed by it.
There is a big difference between someone saying you are wrong and someone calling you names and threatening you. Maybe more important, words can get twisted and can come out wrong. The guy apologized. If we can’t correct ourselves, provide clarification, say we’re sorry, learn from our mistakes, etc. then we are just animals without reasoning skills. We need to allow each other some grace, see the good person in the “other”.
Then the “He said it”. You have done this since the beginning, we’ve all addressed it, and you keep doing it. You take a few words here or there, from any person, any point in history, and you extrapolate them to a larger organization, a country, a “people”, and even to things like a “deep state” which can’t be seen or easily identified.
He is NATO’s Secretary CHIEF OF STAFF, not the CHIEF of NATO

This is a case of the "chief of staff of the secretary of NATO made a mistake to discuss this publicly.
(or maybe by design to see who bites.)
Lovey is showing us how they mix up words. They not only make the error, they repeat it, say your wrong, say their mistake is proof, say something is wrong with us, build theories based on mistakes. It is conspiracy creation in real time, right before our eyes.
Whether or not they know they are doing it, i.e. exaggerating and lying, or not, i.e. legitimately unaware of how the world works, we may never know. But the end result is the same. They break our rules of engaging in civil discourse

Deep divsions in the west. Some want to end the war now as they see no chance of ukraine military victory while the neocon faction wants to make this an endless war
What do you fear most?”
"I fear that love is not enough "
And who is the neocon faction that wants to spend the equivalent of billions of dollars on an endless war? For what purpose and gain?
You are making all these claims but you never provide motive. Who is profiting from this war Russia started?
There is no point in trying to engage you.
You dont have anything to say about the military situation in ukraine or a response to what is presented to you in 772.
What do you fear most?”
"I fear that love is not enough "
In our roles of moderator, we do indeed have something to say in response to what was presented in post #772
I have mentioned this before, but this is not a propaganda board, and unsupported allegations will be met with requests for proof, or the post is deemed to be biased and not founded on sober reflection, but on unfounded hysteria.
I have a lot to say. Just not to you
That suits me. Ciao
