Trump Demands Loyalty Tests for Govt Jobs

It seems Trump is demanding Loyalty tests for Government Jobs as reported by the News media here in the US. Some of the media & many right thinking people are angry, up in arms about this - calling it Fascism, Illegal, how things are done in Authoritarian countries like Russia and North Korea!

But amazingly, many of the same people will go to Church/Mosque and sing praises of a God who demands belief, loyalty to him and him alone and rewards ONLY those who do & will punish those who do not, brutally!

ALL of us, especially Minorities, want to live in INCLUSIVE countries with equal rights for all. We all want to be seen as the human beings that we are and not for the color of our skin, gender, age, ethnicity, or religion. Whether we are up for a Job or a promotion, we want to be judged by our qualifications, experience, education - in other words, our WORKS!

But things move differently in Corrupt & Dictator-led countries like Russia and North Korea. There, whom-you-know is more important than what-you-know. Those that can grease palms, have a Relationship with the higher ups get ahead, while those that do not, even if highly qualified, get left behind. Even in free countries, some Sleazy bosses have rewarded their yes-men, cronies, and sycophants.

In Putin’s Russia, the sycophants who sold their souls & blindly supported the “Dear Loving Master”, have been amply rewarded, while those that did not have paid the highest price, even children have not been spared Putin’s wrath!

And according to the top two religions of the day, it is such a world that awaits Hindus, Buddhists, Atheists & others. We will be set apart based on belief, religion and condemned to eternal torture in Hell! Even Children and babies will not be spared! Works do not matter, only Belief counts, having the right Relationships count!

God’s Realm is EXCLUSIVE, SEGREGATED by Religion!
God’s Realm is Sleazy, Corrupt!

It is amazing that even in the 21st century, so many are willing to sell their souls, drop their morals, values & principles at the altar of Religion & frighteningly, so few are willing to condemn it.

No, got frustrated - this was not the site I expected where views could be freely discussed and respected. This became a Religious site where only certain views are allowed
There is freedom in all other areas but for Religion, where legitimate criticism and doubt is silenced - so I left

And every time he does something insane, I remind the voters that THIS is what they voted for
And also those who did not vote - their action made him possible - they bear responsibility as well
Maybe they can put in another Bible? quote - “A Child shall lead them!”

Look at it this way – if presidents never filled their administration with those who are supportive of their plans, nothing would get done. Trump is no different here.

Exactly! There is something in there for anyone who wants to warp reality. trump collected all of the racists, evangelicals, and fox news folk. That was enough - almost. It also took a large majority of spineless republicans .

He also collected large groups of blue collars and poor people desesperate and suffering.

And these ones as many voters did not go to vote for K. Harris.

140 000 well placed voters could have given her the victory.

If you restrict your thinking like you do in this post, and if the Dem go on like that, they will not win the next rounds.

You’re right, but I have listed those before. I think the dems are learning from this. We definitely need to improve messaging. We also need to learn to fight against a party that has found great success in promoting lie after lie. And I am sure this list could go on…

Mainly, you need to address in a believable way to the Poors, the Rejecteds, the disillusioned voters.

You need to take seriously their needs and demands and propose solutions they can grasp and jauge.

The problem is that lying is tolerated under “freedom of speech”, but lying is not freedom of speech. It is an act of dishonesty and should be classified as a crime.

Which it is when shouting “fire” in a crowded theatre. That is not freedom of speech.
Lying while trying to sell somebody is called fraud, not freedom of sales speech.
False advertising is not freedom of speech, it is a crime.

Interestingly, today, lying has become normalized and routinely used to misinform people about reality.

Perhaps it is time to start prosecuting people for lying altogether. That will result in a few minds being “informed”, rather than being “misinformed” about reality.

I agree. We do have a huge hurdle to jump to achieve this goal. That hurdle is the fact that many of those people have already been convinced by fox news that they are poor because of all of those woke people who fight (and waste money) to include everyone in our society and to include a thorough education that includes our faults - slavery was NOT good for some blacks.

As @lausten mentioned, Obama successfully campaigned from the grassroots up. He also has an incredible charisma. My wife and I went door-to-door to get out the vote for Obama.

IMO, our greatest weakness at the moment is producing an educated public. And I’m not just talking science (although it is extremely important) but am referring to civics and critical thinking. An enormous number of people believed Q and the insanely ridiculous conspiracy theories that came with it.

Our income disparity is only widening. I hope that, in two years and in four years, our population has learned that the lies they have been getting from conservative news outlets is hurting our country. But they might just pull out their guns and bibles.

It doesn’t make sense. That is the problem. That is why civilized societies have codified laws that do make sense. It prevents individuals from commiting offense against the public they are supposed to serve.

If i may try something ?

First, it is usual that a new elected government choose high level managers he can trust so his decisions can be effective. but usually, it does not extend to the lowest ranks.

And most civil servants are loyal and obedient; It is their duty.

Second, to implement a policy is one thing, to accomplish a putsch, multiplying illegal decisions, willingly, is something different.

If you are a mob leader, you need hands to make the dirty job, as Hitler, Mussolini, Putin, and so needed and need.

The worst is that, under a dictatorship, most people will do the asked tasks, without any hesitation. In 1942, the German railways deported millions of people, each one making his small share of the job.
