Part of the solution is to take away their supposed greatest asset - religion. They think they own Christianity, and therefore can easily portray anyone who opposes them as opposing their religion. BUT if enough Liberal Christians, those who actually believe in Jesus' message of love and tolerance combat these clowns, they can effectively take that away from them.

Stop playing the part of the enemy that he needs. His tweets are not for us, they are for his supporters, a minority of the minority party.] Don’t need to respond to them at all. Facts don’t matter. The lawyers and the constitution will take of it, if we just voice our opinions plainly and simply. No need to go overboard.
The real work is finding common ground. Like lowering health care costs, safety, peace. And find Trump supporters who understand we have that common ground.

For starters we should stop coddling the supposed "sanctity" of religion and the implicit acceptance of lying as a way to get through life. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Couldn’t decide religion or politics, sometimes there’s little difference and since it impacts every aspect of our lives, I’ll park it here. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
Recently I was reminded of Senator Sessions being “offended" back in 2012 at being reminded of scientific facts. Given that Sessions is being considered for Attorney General of the USA it’s worth reflecting on the religion based absolutism that force his blind rejection of serious observation-based scientific facts. Whereas Senator Sessions is offended when handed real down to Earth facts, I’m offended that Republicans have demolished the distinction between their own Personal Truths and Universal Truths.

As a German Immigrant, raised bi-culturally, I was familiar with Germany's damning question: "How could a decent, good people like the fine Germans, with the liberal arts, literature, science, a good enlightened folk, become such monsters? To burn million and millions of humans, not just jews, but anyone they hated, and that was everyone who wasn't like them. Given a life time of observations and reflection I was afraid I could live to learn the answer, right here in our little self-satisfied corner of the world. I'll admit its breathtaking the speed with which our great national government has been given over to a bunch of vandals living in a fantasy world, knowing only that they are hate everyone else and are hell bent on destroying everything they don't like. Last week I gave us 50/50 - after today 55/45 - it would be wonderful to see that the guardians of our government will get it together but where are they? Please surprise us. The Republican's are too busy celebrating the prospect of having all their own myopic dreams comes true, they could care less , well not enough, to do anything about Trump. Democrats appear as ineffectual as always. Hell no one is even talking about the Private Security Force that is in all probability developing Trump's Private Security and worse as we speak.

I think there’s been a total breakdown of vision, no one knows what the fuck is going on. It’s all running on momentum at this point.
