To look around and realize it’s actually happening - and that these guys are playing for keeps and with utter hatred and dreams of revenge on their minds and in their plans.
I know that if the rational portion of We The People got together a lot could get done to confront and fight back but no one seems to have that fight in them. If we aren’t changing minds we are losing, and no one seems interested in tackling the fundamentals at the roots of all these BDGs.
Democrats still aren’t serious about mobilizing, engaging, informing, training people - not like the GOP has been doing gangbusters for the past couple decades. They recruited and spelled out their goals in easy to swallow pieces - still fundamentally it is about the fools dream of winning back all they feel they lost in the US Civil War.
While liberal types stood by - still no one ready to scream from the rafter - hey dude it’s insane to think you are in direct communication with God - What god almighty there is IS BEYOND HUMAN UNDERSTANDING - so stop with the phony theater. Start thinking about humanity and the need of this planet that supplies our life support system!
Or, to scream from the rafters WTF - Gosh dang’t a woman’s life is more valuable and more important to her family and society that the life of an unborn potentiality, life isn’t always fair. Besides, it’s the woman who is morally and ethically and informationally best placed to make these hideous decisions. Back off!
But, I don’t hear much of anything beyond MAGA chest thumpers.
GOP isn’t about faith or god or family, it is purely about lust for power and unimaginable wealth - and the disenfranchising non-whites all over again. And the destruction of a government they’ve hated since FDR.
But here we are - can’t focus on the reality too much, it would make one’s head blow up.
But lordie one should at least recognize what’s happening outside in the world, before coming back into the shelter of mental health.
I remember back around the turn of the millennium there was a bumper sticker going around: “If you aren’t scared, you aren’t paying attention.” I was thinking back then, don’t that nail it.
Alas, too, too many prefer not to pay attention at all.
