"The FDA expert panel on vaccines, barred from meeting by RFK Jr., needs to continue operating as part of a necessary government-in-exile.
On Wednesday, the FDA sent an email to its advisory panel on vaccines canceling a meeting scheduled for March 13. There was no explanation. If the panel obeys, we will all be denied next fall’s flu vaccine.Among its other duties, the expert panel of doctors and scientists works with vaccine makers to assess mutations in strains of flu, so that safe and effective vaccines can be made for the fall flu season, a process that takes about six months of lead time.
The panel also relies on data from the World Health Organization, which the Trump administration has quit. …"
What’s so off-putting is that it was absolutely obvious that this would happen, still most American’s didn’t seem to be able to digest what this election was all about, namely our American government as we’ve know it for pretty near 250 years, only to lose it to the Masters of the Universe in 2025.
Why? Because too many didn’t bother to think about it, many for nothing better than personal grievance and vengeance lust, and they simply didn’t bother, or even care, to think it through. There’s no joy in, I told you so, or in woulda, coulda, shoulda.
But now we have given our government over to a bunch of spoiled brats, who have contempt for the voters who put them in office, contempt their Oaths of Office, along with contempt for the American Constitution and our government of checks and balances based on honest constructive, informative, educational debates.
Lots been said about how we talk to each other - and there’s great value in that - but if in the process we try to be everything to everyone - so much so that we suspend our respect for honesty and constructive fact based debates - as a societal expectation.
We’ve lost and the discussions become pointless.
