Oh look at what I found, actually wrote this a few days ago, thought it got trashed.
(November 8, 2024)

We American’s have had a luxury “freedom” - it means a lot of things, but one the most basic is that you could wake up in the morning feeling good about the day, knowing that we lived under a rule of law that sort of applied to all, at least there were norms we could point at and look for, for protection. All that is on the chopping block.

Yeah, I know it was never perfect, and many always had a heel in the neck, but we still had collective sense that things could get better.

Now we have entered the fear zone, that too many peoples of the other nations have been living in. Waking up with a weight on your chest, worried because you live in a society where the power and the police are angry and want to hurt and sow terror, and anything can happen and probably no body will do anything about it.

We shall see how fast that transformation happens.

GOP/MAGA have been broadcasting their passionate hatred and vengeance lust throughout this campaign - actually they have been doing that for decades, but they used to have to careful. Those days are over, because We The People were for the most too apathetic to care, to become informed, and engaged.

When honesty is treated with contempt - where the hell can we go from here, other than into a maelstrom?

I would so love to be proven wrong by time, but history doesn’t offer much hope.

Indeed, history clearly shows that an Autocracy is a functional system without a constitutional declaration of “equality or justice for all”, to the chagrin of the citizenry.

Today, most autocracies exist in the form of absolute monarchies, such as Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Morocco, and dictatorships, such as North Korea, Cuba, and Zimbabwe.

Looks like the US has become a member of the above illustrous group of countries

World War Trump is our new president even as 99% of the US, including most of the people voting for Trump, do not war.

I saw an article yesterday that said the Biden White House had several months ago predicted Trump would win the election in runaway fashion with 400 electoral votes and that they knew Kamala wasn’t going to do any better. This begs the question, did the Democrats want to lose? The policies of the Biden administration are failing the empire. The plan to use Ukraine to bleed Russia into submission of the empire’s demands is failing horribly. Israel is also a total catastrophe and its prospects don’t look any better. Is Trump merely a desperate changing of the generals by the ruling-class with the hope that an even more reckless and violent, strongman dictator can rescue the US empire from its looming defeat?

Sounds like paranoia. A “social order” can mean different things so I don’t know what you’re talking about, but Trump says a lot of things that he never follows through on. There’s also the problem of how he would actually become a dictator and wreck whatever social order you mean.

Now that I think about it, nearly everything about our “social order” has been really good for Trump. I can’t see why he would want it gone.

This election wasn’t about personalities, it was about our government, the Constitution’s the rule of law, the respect of our government. And it doesn’t seem like many were trying to make that case. To busy with their Hollywood party and too cool Obama.

Perhaps they were too self-serving to appreciate the need to seriously reach out to voters with relevant information and engagement. Something more than simply sending donation spam.

The question is why are American by and large so easy with abandoning our democracy and the rule of law?

Just because Israel is good at killing invaders does not make them responsible for starting these wars. All military actions that the US supports are of a defensive nature.

Ukraine and Israel are not enemies of the US . The US is not at war with anybody.
The US is helping 2 allys defend themselves against 2 enemies that have sworn to destroy these countries altogether.
