I love the idea of the Autozone where you don’t need the law getting in the way of your actions. How many people here agree with me?
Violence has unsurprisingly broken out in CHOP and several people are dead and injured. https://news.yahoo.com/two-teenagers-shot-seattles-chop-094832113.html
The dead and their killers are – you guessed it – Black.
It seems like Black lives don’t matter even in a breakaway community established specifically to fight racism and inequality………

I love the idea of the Autozone where you don’t need the law getting in the way of your actions. How many people here agree with me?I agree; if that's what dear white folks want for the black minority, provided they set up their Autozone away from property belonging to other people who want no part of it.
It seems like Black lives don’t matter even in a breakaway community established specifically to fight racism and inequality…………………………………………………………..Black lives don't matter if they caused the killing and can't pin it on you and make you pay. Cities are paying huge sums to families of black lives to make it all go away. It's extortion, if I asked me. In major cities on a typical weekend, there are about a dozen black on black shootings ending in death. Not a peep from dear white people about that.
… there are about a dozen black on black shootings ending in death. Not a peep from dear white people about that. And that, if true, makes cops killing black people okay?
I don’t think so.

Police in Seattle converged on the city's protest zone early Wednesday, making arrests and sweeping through streets that demonstrators occupied for weeks to protest police brutality and systemic racism.Mayor Jenny Durkan issued an executive order for protesters to vacate the area, and police enforced it.
The decision to clear the area, first known as the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone or CHAZ, then the Capitol Hill Occupied Protest, or CHOP, followed an outbreak of violence.
The well educated activists must be shocked to discover anarchism doesn’t work.
The well educated activists must be shocked to discover anarchism doesn’t work. The well-educated activists are not dumb and they are not shocked at all. They just want to rattle the cages of capitalism in which they are trapped. It's like a prison riot that can go only so far. The USA, to them, is Supermax; and they know it.

The USA, to them, is Supermax; and they know it.Wow. You said something that I can almost agree with. (The part about the USA being a Supermax is rather hyperbolic, but there is a seed of truth, I think.)
its an unspoken thing that Black lives are less important when taken by Blacks. Some black people are murderers, some are victims. No big surprise there. I think that most people are capable of killing other people in certain circumstances.
Do you want to deal with the systemic circumstances that make it more likely that black people wind up killing other black people? (I doubt that you do.)
BLM is aimed at Cops who unnecessarily kill black people. We all contribute to the cops per taxation. That is a more direct public responsibility and (probably) more easily addressed with the correct reforms than the more complex and disparate factors in our society, that promote more black on black crime.
It’s not that complicated.
Blacks getting killed by Whites is simply more offensive to them then blacks routinely being slaughtered by other blacks. Normal, everyday tribalism in action.
Wow. You said something that I can almost agree with. (The part about the USA being a Supermax is rather hyperbolic, but there is a seed of truth, I think.)Wow! For two separate poles, we resonated for a moment. I want to drink to that. Basil Hayden - Kentucky straight bourbon. Cheers!
Well there we go off track again. I don’t tolerate that sort of whiskey. I only want single malt scotch.
oneguy: "It’s not that complicated. Blacks getting killed by Whites is simply more offensive to them then blacks routinely being slaughtered by other blacks. Normal, everyday tribalism in action."Way to look at things from the most distorted angle.
Don’t whites kill mostly whites? Black people are more involved with and around other black people. White people are the same in that they are mostly around other white people. It stands to reason that if people are going to kill other people, it will be the ones they are around the most. Don’t you think?
Again, you have not responded to the fact that the outrage about COPS killing blacks is what is at issue. Are you trying to distract from that with a frivolous distraction?
The problem is not that killers exist and happen to kill or get killed by the people that they are around the most. That is unsurprising. The problem is that the police system is set up such that cops kill blacks unnecessarily at a higher rate than they kill whites unnecessarily. AND they systematically LIE, cover up, and distort information when they screw up. AND the cops’ criminal justice system AND the police unions tend to protect offending cops from any sort of punishment.
Sometimes, I feel like I am grading and correcting papers. And with some of the “students” they tend to make similar mistakes over and over and over again. While I patiently continue to correct and explain where they went wrong.

Are you being willfully ignorant or are you not reading the post fully before posting a rebuttal?

That is a more direct public responsibility and (probably) more easily addressed with the correct reforms than the more complex and disparate factors in our society, that promote more black on black crime. How can you even say this? BLM prolooters are out there screaming in the faces of officers, blaming each and every one as though they themselves were guilty of murdering black people. Have you ever bothered to do the research on how many black people per year have been killed by cops?
Have you ever bothered to do the research on how many black people per year have been killed by cops?People killed by US police in 2020:

Deceiving with numbers:

In 2018, there were 996 fatal police shootings, and in 2019 this figure increased to 1,004.
Additionally, the rate of fatal police shootings among Black Americans was much higher than that for any other ethnicity, standing at 31 fatal shootings per million of the population as of June 2020.

Oh and incidentally 76.3% white to 13.4% black. www - census - gov/quickfacts/fact/table/US/PST045219
Try a little math, then how about a little compassion.
mitch, You are looking at stats that you interpret as supporting your stance.
But, really, what is your stance? Is it that each and everyone of the crimes on video (of cops perpetrating on blacks) should just be ignored?
If that is it, then it won’t work, because slanted statistics don’t support such a stance, at all.
All lives matter, remember?
A corollary of “All lives matters” is that “_______ lives matter”. The blank can be assumed to be the more specific “lives” that contemporarily need the most societal support. This is because “ALL” includes each one of the many kind of lives that the blank could be filled with. And this is because following this logic, can lead us to be a healthier society.

@timb At least you’re willing to have a discussion here I give you that. Having a change of opinion is a good thing whether it’s me or the person I’m having a discussion with. I’ll take any side of which makes the most sense and I refuse to conform to public scrutiny. If ANY RACE is in the wrong I’ll always call them out for it. This is what really pisses people off. I could turn coat on anyone who had agreed with me in the past. I’m not here to perpetuate the circle jerk whether it be liberal or conservative, but enough with the I’s and Me’s. CC might get angry again.
