We humored their (evangelical and religious groups in general) holier than thou attitude and never figured out any moral philosophical counters to their God obsessions and arguments and campaigns built on deception and misrepresentation of facts.

Thanks for posting that. Reminded how much I absolutely love MP, but also how great were Siskel and Ebert. I’ve often thought a similar thing - how unsure these holy rollers must be of their own beliefs that a) they have to pray constantly, b) they have to force it on others constantly, c) they have to go to church constantly, and 4) that can’t even take a joke.
