Sept 18th, GOP yet again trying to sneak in Obama repeal - not a shred of humanity in the bunch :- (

The contempt for the will of the majority of our citizens, …
The rejection of rational constructive bipartisan efforts , …
The absolutism self-interested myopia, …
The seething hatred of everything that doesn’t bit their self created echo-chamber,
that refusal to recognize so much of the actual living world.
Making enemies and intensifying problems seems all this new age GOP is about.
So rather than admit errors and then stop - listen - and learn, then to refocus on the America’s profits obsessed, mega bonuse generating dysfunctional medical industry - these old men cling to their atrophied notions and only want to play power games.

SEP 18, 2017 05:50 AM MDT Senate Republicans are trying a last-ditch Obamacare repeal A new bill by Sens. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and Bill Cassidy of Louisiana would roll back Obamacare http://www.salon.com/2017/09/18/senate-republicans-are-trying-a-last-ditch-obamacare-repeal/
The Health 202: The new GOP Obamacare repeal effort faces the same old math By Paige Winfield Cunningham, September 18, 2017 https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/powerpost/paloma/the-health-202/2017/09/18/the-health-202-the-new-gop-obamacare-repeal-effort-faces-the-same-old-math "... his small group of Republicans — led by Louisiana Sen. Bill Cassidy and South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham — appear convinced they can rework the equation to secure that ever-elusive 50th vote for their measure, finally passing a bill overhauling the Affordable Care Act with a tiebreaking vote from Vice President Pence and moving closer to their goal of repealing and replacing President Barack Obama’s health-care law. There will be a lot of moving parts to watch this week. Republicans have asked the Congressional Budget Office to rush a score of the Graham-Cassidy bill, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s (R-Ky.) office confirmed yesterday. McConnell plans to take the temperature of his leadership team and his entire conference over the next few days. They have only two weeks left to scrape together enough support, since the budget reconciliation bill they’re using expires at the end of the month. ..."
I weep for my nation.

All the while the real killer of hope and our future continues gathering steam.

The Real Unknown of Climate Change: Our Behavior Justin Gillis https://www.nytimes.com/2017/09/18/climate/climate-change-denial.html Scientists urged decades ago that we buy ourselves some insurance by cutting emissions. We yawned. Even today, when millions of people have awakened to the danger, tens of millions have not. So the political demand for change is still too weak to overcome the entrenched interests that want to block it. ... And top Trump appointees insist that the causes of climate change are too uncertain and the scientific forecasts too unreliable to be a basis for action. ... In fact, to the degree our scientists have made a systematic error, it has been to understate how quickly things would unravel. The sea ice in the Arctic is collapsing in front of our eyes. Even more ominously, land ice is melting at an accelerating pace, threatening a future rise of the sea even faster than that of today. ... Yet here is the crucial point, and one you never hear the climate denialists own up to: the uncertainties cut in both directions. Every time some politician stands up and claims that climate science is rife with uncertainties, a more honest person would add that those uncertainties could just as easily go against us as in our favor. ... The truth is that the single biggest uncertainty in climate science has nothing to do with the physics of the atmosphere, or the stability of the ice, or anything like that. The great uncertainty is, and has always been, how much carbon pollution humans are going to choose to pump into the air. ... And yet most of us have still not bestirred ourselves to care, much less to march in the streets demanding change. We are like the people in Texas who did not take those flood warnings seriously enough, except that the stakes are so much larger. Is this failure to act the legacy our generation wants to leave for the generations yet to come? @JustinHGillis

A sleepy electorate is going to get steamrollered by the GOP oligarch’s team.
They are still doing their best to screw us on health care-

Senate Republicans have just announced that they intend to vote on Trumpcare next week. We must make sure it fails, just like we did in July. The Graham-Cassidy bill is worse than other versions of Trumpcare we stopped. 32 million Americans would lose their health insurance (including people with pre-existing conditions), Planned Parenthood would be defunded, federal protections for people with pre-existing conditions would be eliminated, and the Medicaid cuts are disastrous. But that's not what motivates most Senate Republicans—they care about politics. One GOP Senator even admitted that if they don't pass a bill, it will hurt Republicans in 2018. So we need to light up the phone lines and let them know that passing this bill would absolutely devastate Republicans in 2018. Call your Senator at (202) 224-5941. When you reach an aide or voice-mail, please leave the following message:
{write out your own script - include this first line} Hello, my name is ___________ calling from zip code _____ in state of ___________. {write out your own script so your message stays focused} Why does the GOP hold US citizens in such contempt? Look at all the polls, We The People want national health care coverage like every other advanced country in the world! Fix it don’t break it. NO on Graham-Cassidy. I am ANGRY that the Senate plans to vote next week on Graham-Cassidy because 32 million Americans will lose their health insurance. I live in ___, and if the Senator votes for it, I will actively campaign against them.
You may phone the U.S. Capitol Switchboard at (202) 224-3121.

Time to mobilize, yet again, and again, and again...

Don’t be fooled by any of this. Remember their two sided belief - less government, more corporations/privatization. Their goal is to ruin government at both the Federal and State levels, thereby opening the door for private companies or corporations to come in and takeover. It’s just a variation of the Shock Doctrine - Disaster Capitalism. In this case under the guise of helping people they actually create disasters at the federal and state levels. The global fascists (of which our Repubs are a part) do the same at the level of countries. Watch for privatization to kick in in the smaller countries that the hurricanes have just devestated. Natural or manmade, they want to benefit from disaster. Awhile ago they change the rules on the US Postal Service to require it to fund their pension out to 75 years, which is unheard of. They did it to hobble the USPS so that it’d collapse so non-governmental corporations could swoop in. Luckily somebody at the USPS outsmarted them. But you get the point.
