Republican's drive towards utter US anarchy! Details are coming to light

This is right up there with something a co-worker once said, “freedom is great, but then everyone just starts saying what they want.”

I guess that’s why there is such a thing as Democratic Socialism.

And that’s where the “filter” fails for many.
Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should.

Can you tell me what is the committee after? Are they investigating a murder that took place. Are they investigating the system used on the people arrested. It is not like any known system in America. It is a system you would see in a communist country. Make it political and cover up the facts. As Pelosi says, the public has no right to know what goes on in congress.

That tune is played all the time. Example Venezuela

Citizens of a once-prosperous nation live amid the havoc created by socialism, illiberal nationalism, and political polarization. Venezuela's Suffering Shows Where Illiberalism Leads - The Atlantic

You couldn’t blame the Democrats of doing that. The puppets are always on script with no shame when the script is disproven. I guess that means that Democrats are against freedom.

Don’t be ridiculous. Congress is made up by representatives of the public.

Any investigatory secrecy is to protect the innocent from inadvertent association to crimes, or to avoid warning those who are being investigated by that specific temporary committee assembled for a specific purpose.

After all is said and done , there is the “Freedom of Information Act”, where information may be obtained on demand.

Your comparison to Communism is completely misplaced. A communist state is run by the State.

In fact , today in the US , several States are acting independent of the will of the people.
The recall of Roe v Wade is but one example of a State’s attempt to introduce theocracy into the democratic process, something that is forbidden by the “Establishment Clause”

Sanctity of life

In religion and ethics, the inviolability of life, or sanctity of life, is a principle of implied protection regarding aspects of sentient life that are said to be holy, sacred, or otherwise of such value that they are not to be violated.

This can be applied to both animals and humans or micro-organisms; for instance, in religions that practice Ahimsa, both are seen as holy and worthy of life. The value is inherent: Life is created in the womb (or artificial environment to mimic womb).

Yes, and humans get to judge the degrees of sanctity that may be assigned to life

Life is Sacred?

Sacred

Sacred describes something that is dedicated or set apart for the service or worship of a deity;[1] is considered worthy of spiritual respect or devotion; or inspires awe or reverence among believers. The property is often ascribed to objects (a “sacred artifact” that is venerated and blessed), or places (“sacred ground”).

French sociologist Émile Durkheim considered the dichotomy between the sacred and the profane to be the central characteristic of religion: “religion is a unified system of beliefs and practices relative to sacred things, that is to say, things set apart and forbidden.”[2]: 47 In Durkheim’s theory, the sacred represents the interests of the group, especially unity, which are embodied in sacred group symbols, or totems. The profane, on the other hand, involve mundane individual concerns.

What are we, a secular Democracy or a Theocracy?

Yet the Netherlands and other like places in Europe are doing well.

In a new memoir, Donald Trump’s former chief of staff Mark Meadows doubles down on the baseless claim the 2020 election was stolen and whitewashed the violent attack on the US Capitol by Trump supporters on January 6,

So this will become a standard school textbook in red states.

Autocracy, like Xi Jinping.

Capitalism has been found as a common factor in every great empire in history. Even Xi Jinping leading the autocracy China right now has their economics and manufacturing operating in a capitalist environment. Mainly based upon the USA.

So, your point is well taken. That is most likely why our founding fathers set up our nation to use the Supreme Court. And why rights were given to the common man. Except on Jan 6th.

“Would it follow that Autocracy is indispensable to capitalism, master?”. American history shows that it does not have to be that way. That is one reason America is so great. And Jan 6th show American’s wanting to keep it that way.

We were paying for NATO anywhere from 70 to 90 percent to protect Europe. The Netherlands cannot even make its payment and is likely to scrap NATO altogether. I would not call that doing well.

And which side are you talking about? The people who tried to change a legitimate election and who wanted to “install” their own “illegitimate” master, or the people who defended the Nation’s Capitol from a treasonous coup?

Which includes traitors on the inside:

The PowerPoint presentation, which spanned 38 pages and was titled “Election fraud, Foreign Interference & Options for 6 JAN,” was part of an email sent on Jan. 5,

detailing a conspiracy theory-laden plan for Vice President Pence to install Republican electors in states “where fraud occurred,” and for Trump to declare a national emergency and for all electronic voting to be rendered invalid, citing foreign “control” of electronic voting systems.

Yea, your right. That Russian puppet diversion is worn out. A phony treasonous coup narrative should do the trick to distract the deplorables to keep the communist movement moving forward.

What a nasty piece of work. Slimy also comes to mind. There is a there, there, mikie boy.

Donald J. Trump and his backers say revelations about the Steele dossier show the Russia investigation was a “hoax.” That is not what the facts indicate.

By Charlie Savage

Dec. 1, 2021

WASHINGTON — Former President Donald J. Trump and his allies have stepped up an effort to conflate the so-called Steele dossier with the Russia investigation following the indictment of a researcher for the document on charges that he lied to the F.B.I. about some of its sources.

Mr. Trump and his supporters have long sought to use the flaws of the dossier to discredit the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election — and the nature of numerous links between Russia and the Trump campaign — as a “hoax.”

But the available evidence indicates that the dossier was largely tangential to the Russia investigation. Here is a look at the facts.

What was the Steele dossier?

It was a series of memos about purported Trump-Russia links written by Christopher Steele, a former British intelligence agent, during the 2016 campaign. It cited unnamed sources who claimed there was a “well-developed conspiracy of coordination” between the Trump campaign and the Russian government, and that Russia had a blackmail tape of Mr. Trump with prostitutes. In addition to giving his memos to his client, Mr. Steele gave some to the F.B.I. and reporters. Buzzfeed published 35 pages in January 2017.

But mikie apparently has no problem with this §¶&π,

Yea, you’re right. That Russian puppet diversion is worn out. Putin is really a nice guy and a good neighbor to the Ukraine and the US.

Yea , you’re right. A phoney treasonous coup narrative should do the trick. No more elections.
The righteous deplorables should just take power.

Let the deplorables do their righteous patriotic treasonous coup. Then we’ll just be like that shining beacon, Russia.
Hip hip hooray for Capitalist Russia, Putin, and all deplorables.

. Roe V Wade is not trying to establish religion and it is not favoring one religion over another . It is therefore not breaking the Establishment Clause .

Supporters of abortions with some limits: United Methodist Church, Episcopal Church, Evangelical Lutheran Church of America, United Methodist Church.

Supports abortions: Conservative Judaism, Presbyterian Church, Reform Judaism, Unitarian Universalist, United Church of Christ.

I don’t understand why abortion is an issue other than an entitlement. Example. Americans have the rights to bear arms given by the Second Amendment. So, using the same thinking as used in abortion. The government should be required to buy all Americans guns, ammunition, knives, bow and arrows, etc…

It is not the abortion that I believe is the major objection of many Americans. It is the idea that the democrats want taxpayers paying for the abortion. History will show that giving an inch on these issues will require a mile of other entitlements. Which is happening right now with Biden wanting to drop the Hyde Amendment.

Why not share the greed and propose adding free arms with free abortion for everyone? There are 40K gun deaths and 900K abortion deaths a year.

Right now, we have a government that has no logic. The American worker can only be taxed to a point. Then the worker will start looking for other avenues. And we are at that point today.

Putin is a nice guy to the Russians that were living in Ukraine. After 15,000 Russian Ukrainians defected to Russia. And after a US State led program that required all Russian schools and legal contracts to be in the Ukrainian language. Then took the oil rights away from the Russian farmers in the Ukraine, which they knew would start a civil war. Which was needed to clear the mineral rights to the Ukrainian government. Which sold the mineral rights to a holding company that has hidden the ownership of the holding company. The only problem was that Putin stepped in and helped the Russians living in Ukraine. The Russian farmers had a vote and returned to Russia. Ukraine was losing soldiers for not having proper weapons. So why did the Ukraine spend a billion dollars to buy a drilling rig for a private company instead of weapons? Why do you back and approve these types of US leaderships actions to fill the pockets of the swamp? You think your scribbles are cute as the people you are backing are playing you for a fool.
Why do you think the EU backed away from this swamp piggy bank and still worked with Putin?
