proposing new style wind generator to power cars with unlimited range

My belief is I think I’ve cracked a way to use the wind (which is endless) to power electric cars with an unlimited range.
The idea is for the generator to continuously charge the rather small battery bank while running the motor with the surplus of electricity … and it wouldn’t be breaking the law of physics…

Ya, ya… I remember seeing that on the Bugs Bunny/Road-runner show. The coyote had a fan blowing up a sail to move forward…if I can remember correctly his extension cord was too short…

The fan and the sail problem is with Newton’s third law. As soon as the air hits the sail, there is an equal and opposite reaction that negates the motion.
Putting a wind turbine on a moving vehicle would actually generate some power. You could charge a battery with it. But if you are using that battery to drive the car the charging won’t keep up with the discharging. If it could, that would be a violation of thermodynamics.
You will have to actually build this and demonstrate it under multiple conditions because no scientific based firm or organization will accept your proposal or provide funding. You’re better off investing your time and money in books about producing energy.

You are correct…I was trying for the thing called humor !
But you cannot get something for nothing…second law of thermodynamics

From what is being said, wouldn’t it be easier to forget about the batteries and electricity; just put a sail on top of the car and make sure you always want to go in the direction the wind is blowing?

What about this for a wind powered vehicle made by a Chinese farmer?

This would not not make it a perpetual motion machine, but would be one of the next best things in principal to a perpetual motion machine. Certain parts like roller bearings would need replacing and or maintenance over it's lifespan of 50+ years (maybe 100+ years). Can a machine go faster than the wind speed?
Can a machine go faster than the wind speed?
Yes. Any half-decent sailboat, iceboat or sand yacht can sail faster than the wind. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sailing_faster_than_the_wind TFS

So i'm suggesting overunity is possible to achieve with new and improved methods incorporated into new designs.
